Steelers vs Colts Predictions
The Stank:
This should be one of the more entertaining games to watch, as the Steelers’ defense faces a highly regarded young Colts quarterback, who some are calling the second coming of Cam Newton.
However, I’m not fully sold on Anthony Richardson just yet. He can make throws that 99% of quarterbacks can’t, but he struggles with the throws that 99% can make. While he’s an incredible talent downfield, his short game leaves much to be desired.
Richardson is set to face another strong defense this week, and it won’t be easy. The Steelers are allowing just 8.7 points per game over the first three weeks, having held the Falcons, Broncos, and Chargers to under 10+ points each—two of those games were on the road. Allowing only 26 points through three games is an impressive feat.
Indianapolis is known for its ground attack, led by star running back Jonathan Taylor, but the Steelers are limiting teams to just 71.3 rushing yards per game. They even held J.K. Dobbins to 44 rushing yards, despite him averaging over 130 yards in the first two games of the season.

In terms of pass defense, the Steelers are holding opponents to under 160 passing yards per game. Meanwhile, Richardson and the Colts rank 24th in passing yards, averaging just 184.3 yards per game—only a few yards ahead of the struggling Chicago Bears.
I believe the Colts’ team total is a bit too high; I expected the game total to be lower, so I anticipated the team total around 17. I’ll gladly take the under 19.5 for the Colts against a top-tier defense.
Who Wins?
I don’t have a strong lean on the side, but I generally favor the better defense. The Steelers’ offense has been quite serviceable, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they come out on top and dominate the Colts. That said, Anthony Richardson is a raw but dangerous talent who could always deliver some underdog magic.
Prediction: Steelers Win
