NFL Fantasy Football 2025 Late-Round Value Picks: Running Backs

Yesterday we highlighted the best mid-round running back value picks in NFL fantasy. This came after the best wide receivers in the first four rounds, the best value picks in the mid-rounds, and the late-round value picks of upcoming fantasy football drafts, kicking off our Betting News Fantasy Football series. Today, we will begin part two of our running back value picks. This position has become more and more scarce to find true bell-cow’s, so let’s find the best in the first four rounds.

I know, I know. I’m the hockey guy at Betting News. I go by Gretzky Betzky, I host PUCK IT and I eat, breathe and sleep puck. But I’m also an AVID fantasy football nerd who is in two dynasty leagues, partaking in 5+ leagues annually and been addicted to being a fake GM for over 15 years now. In fact, I won the Betting News staff fantasy league last season and came in second place in two other leagues. From draft day on I will watch player ADP like they are stock tickers, hunting down value. And while the NHL is snoozing, I’ll be contributing my NFL expertise in the fantasy football realm.

This will become an ongoing series where I highlight players who REEK of value in fantasy drafts. We aren’t talking about grabbing Ja’Marr Chase with the first overall pick, but instead we are going to be finding gems and value. Each article will feature a position within a range of draft rounds (we will always skip the first round). We will assume that these picks are for 12-team leagues with .5 PPR and will not be discussing in terms of Superflex. On top of that, I’ll highlight a futures bet that corresponds with each player, all of whose odds can be found on BetOnline.

So without further ado, let’s kick it off with NFL fantasy football 2025 late-round value picks: the running backs. It’s mock draft season baby!!!

1. NFL Fantasy Round 10 Value Running Backs: Zach Charbonnet

Zach Charbonnet is more than a Kenneth Walker handcuff. Much more. In six games without Kenneth Walker III, Charbonnet averaged 18.3 touches and 19.2 fantasy points per game, a rate that would’ve ranked around 5th at RB across a full season. Walker has struggled with injuries in each of his three NFL seasons, a problem he had in college as well. In fact, Walker is already missing time in preseason. 

The Seattle Seahawks shocked many when they drafted Charbonnet in 2023, as many saw his elite skill and workhorse ability being wasted in Seattle. However, the Seahawks see comfortable having two capable backs and could begin using the duo as a true tandem this season. Charbonnet brings a power run game that allows the Seahawks to pound defenses. He forces missed tackles and consistently racks up yards after contact, ranking 9th among backs in missed-tackles forced per attempt and 26th in yards-after-contact per attempt. 

While Walker remains the starter, his durability concerns persist—he missed 10 games in his first three seasons. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is installing a more run-heavy focus, and new guard Grey Zabel should boost blocking after a low-ranked 2024 run-block grade. Charbonnet’s ADP sits around 100 overall (RB rank ~17th), which represents discounted pricing for someone with top-10 weekly upside if he plays a lead role. Add all this up and Charbonnet could be a steal of a NFL fantasy pick.

Even as a backup Chaerbonnet has come close to hitting this prop in both of his NFL seasons. He had 569 rushing and 349 receiving yards last season, benefitting from Walker’s injuries. But even in his rookie season Charbonnet had 462 rushing yards, a season which Walker “only” missed two games. If Charbonnet’s role increases he should be able to pound through this future bet.

2. NFL Fantasy Round 11 Value Running Backs: Tank Bisby

There is a lot of chatter that the Jacksonville Jaguars could use a running back by committee option this season. Especially with them drafting yet another RB in this years draft. There is also speculation that Travis Etienne could be the odd man out. That makes third year RB Tank Bisby very appealing. Especially because in 2024, Tank Bigsby carried the ball 168 times for 766 yards and 7 rushing TDs, averaging 4.6 yards per carry—a higher average than Travis Etienne that year.

At 5′11″, 215 lb, Bigsby blends compact power with breakaway burst. At Auburn, he accumulated 2,906 rushing yards and 25 rushing TDs, with 13 career 100-yard games. With new coach Liam Coen, who has a history of building effective rushing games (as with Tampa Bay’s Bucky Irving and Rachaad White), Bigsby is garnering early camp buzz due to his consistent efficiency and alignment with the coaching philosophy.

His current ADP is around 120 overall—roughly the RB41–RB45 range—despite having the upside of an RB2/flex starter if opportunity opens up. Bisby has a great shot at exceeding his fantasy value, making him one of my favorite late-round NFL fantasy picks.

Tank Bisby 8+ Rushing TDs for +200 on BetOnline:

Bisby had 7 rushing touchdowns last season, which was widely considered his breakout. With less trust in Etienne and a new coaching staff, Bisby could be in for a much larger season. Liam Coen brings a very offensive first focus to the Jaguars and should improve their offense across the board. And with new threats like Travis Hunter and the emergence of Brian Thomas Jr, opposing teams will have their hands tied, giving Bisby more space to pound in TD’s. I’d even consider taking his 10+ rushing TD’s at +400.

3. NFL Fantasy Round 13th  Value Running Backs: Jordan Mason

In early 2024 with the 49ers, Jordan Mason filled in for Christian McCaffrey and delivered an explosive stretch. He averaged 17.9 fantasy points per game, ranking RB5 overall over five weeks. Mason also accumulated ~120 scrimmage yards per game with over 5 yards per carry and multiple touchdowns per outing. He proved his value and the Minnesota Vikings not only traded for him, but signed him to an extension. They clearly have a plan for him that is more than just a backup to the aging Aaron Jones.

While Jones remains the RB1, Mason brings power and goal-line viability: Vikings coaches praise his style as a complementary threat. Mason has even drawn early first-team looks in training camp, indicating a clearer role in the offense. There has been chatter that the Vikings would like to use both running backs in a similar fashion to how Detroit has utilized Gibbs and Montgomery. 

Jordan Mason is a superb late-round fantasy pick in 2025, ideal for managers seeking upside with limited risk. His high-level production when filling in, combined with a strong role and home-run scoring potential behind one of the league’s best offenses, makes him one of the most compelling value plays on draft boards.

Snag him in the late rounds as a FLEX stash or handcuff with potential to become a weekly starter—especially if Aaron Jones faces injury or volume fade.
