Titans @ Dolphins Analysis & Breakdown
The Miami Dolphins have struggled without Tua.
We’re kicking off the Monday Night Double-Header with a battle between the Tennessee Titans the Miami Dolphins, live from Hard Rock Stadium.
The Dolphins will still be without starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, who suffered another concussion two weeks ago. They’ve lost back to back games and scored just 13 points over the last two weeks.
This week the Dolphins will be without backup QB, Skylar Thompson and will turn to Tyler Huntley for the start. Huntley joined the Dolphins on September 17th and I doubt anyone was expecting he’d be starting this quickly.
On the other side the field we see the Tennesse Titans, a team desperate for their first win of the 2024/25 campaign. Starting quarterback for the Titans, Will Levis has looked bad through 3 weeks; throwing 5 interceptions to 4 touchdowns and averaging just under 200 yards per game.
Two teams desperate for a win, both with a plethora of injuries already this year; who get’s the win?

Like I said, Will Levis has been bad this year. It seems like every week Levis is giving us lowlight reel turnovers and just not making the big plays required of a winning QB in the NFL. So why are we betting the Titans?
…Long story short, the Dolphins just look TERRIBLE without Tua under center. Last week with Skylar Thompson under center, the Dolphins scored 3 points and recorded just 205 total yards of offense.
Miami finished with just 13 first downs in this game and finished 1-12 on 3rd downs. The Dolphins allowed Geno Smith to throw for 289 yards and 1 touchdown; in addition to giving up 91 yards and 2 touchdowns to Zach Charbonnet.
Tennesse’s got two running backs that average 4 yards per carry or better, they’ve got Calvin Ridley and a healthy DeAndre Hopkins. The Titans’ defense has given up 26 points per game this year, but they’ve done a great job against both the run and pass.
A big reason the Titans are giving up so many points is just costly turnovers in their own end and even a few defensive touchdowns scored against them. Tennessee’s giving up just 139.3 passing yards per game (3rd) and rank 8th in rush yards allowed to running backs.
Huntley’s making his first start of the season, doing it on Primetime AND against one of the NFL’s stingiest defenses.
He was drafted in 2020 and has since started 9 regular season games, all 9 for the Baltimore Ravens. Huntley went 3-6 in these games, winning only 1 of these games by more than a field goal. He averaged 154.3 yards per game with 5 passing touchdowns and 6 interceptions.
The Titans are desperate for their first win of the year, so what better time than against this beat up Dolphins squad.
