Jaguars @ Bears Analysis & Breakdown
Tank Bigsby breaks off a big 1 last week against the Colts.
Don’t look now, but the Chicago Bears are 3-2 and the ‘Caleb Williams is a bust’ crowd is super quiet. Williams and company have now won back to back games and remain a perfect 3-0 at Soldier Field.
This week the Bears are once again the home team, but this week they’ll be playing somewhere completely new; London, England.
The Jaguars made the trip across pond and will have back to back games in London. This week they’ll face the Chicago Bears at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, followed by a matchup with the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium.
Trevor Lawrence got his first win of the season last week, beating the Colts 37-34 on the back of 371 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. Tank Bigsby was unstoppable, recording 101 rushing yards on just 13 carries; in addition to 2 touchdowns of his own.
When you’re playing this far from home, anything can happen; mix in two young quarterbacks looking to prove something, and now we might just see some fireworks.

Caleb Williams is 3-2 over the first five games of his career, and he’s giving hope to Bears’ fans across the country.
Williams’ has struggled at times this year, but the Bears have a winning record, he’s thrown for 300 yards twice, and hasn’t thrown an interception in 3 weeks. Williams has 5 passing touchdowns on the season, recording just two games with multiple passing touchdowns.
It took Caleb Williams 3 weeks to finally find the endzone, throwing for his first career touchdown in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts. Since then, he’s thrown 5 touchdowns, thrown for 300 yards twice, and he’s recorded a 67.3% completion rate.
The Jaguars secondary is bad, and their pass rush doesn’t help much either. Jacksonville’s surrendering the most passing yards per week (287.8/game) and they’ve given up the 2nd most passing touchdowns on the year (10).
Last week the Jags let Joe Flacco record 359 yards through the air, 3 passing touchdowns, and he finished with a 75% completion rate. This week it’s Caleb Williams that has his way with the kitty-cats.

The connection between Caleb Williams & Rome Odunze has been fun to watch.
Like I said, the Jaguars have allowed the 2nd most passing touchdowns in the league, they allow the most passing yards per game and they rank last in receiving yards allowed to wide receivers.
Odunze is 2nd on this team in targets, 2nd among skill players in snap count and he’s dropped just one pass on the year. He’s got the trust of his quarterback and against this bottom 3 secondary, he should feast.
Over the last three weeks, Odunze is 2nd on his team with 4 red zone targets, catching 2 and recording just one touchdown.
This week the Bears face off with a Jaguars team that’s giving up 3.2 touchdowns per game (30th) and allowing opponents to convert 71% of their redzone drives into touchdowns (30th). The Jags are giving up 28.6 points per game and that’s ballooned to 35/game over their L3.
The vibes are high in Chicago’s locker room and there’s 2 guys making their first trip across the pond; look for both rookies to respond in a big way.
