Analysis & Breakdown

Demons in Denver
This Denver Broncos defense is full of demons. The Broncos have three defensive lineman 20+ pressures, they lead the league in pressure rate (41%) and have the sixth best pass-rush win rate (52.1%). They lead the league with 30 sacks through six games and Nik Bonitto leads the NFL with eight sacks of his own.
Denver ranks 2nd in points allowed, 1st in defensive redzone efficiency, 3rd in pass yards allowed and 6th in rush yards allowed. The team’s done a phenomenal job of getting off the field, ranking third in first downs allowed and 1st in opponent third down conversion rate. This is important because the Giants have been especially good on third down since Dart’s taken the reigns.
Offensively the Broncos have been mid. They rank 21st in points, 24th in third down conversion rate, 18th in first downs and 18th in yards per play. Nix is averaging 212.8 pass yards per game and he’s thrown nine touchdowns to four interceptions. This week the team’s coming home after a trip to London in Week 6.
The Dart & Skat Show
The New York Giants may have found the future of their franchise in this year’s NFL draft. Not only did the team secure one of the NFL’s best defensive ends this year in Abdul Carter, but both Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo are beginning to look like absolute steals in the draft. The Giants took Carter with the 2nd overall pick and snagged Dart later in the first round at pick #25. Skat was taken in the 4th round and now he leads the Giants in touchdowns.
The Giants have two wins this year and both have come with Dart under center. Dart’s 2-1 in his career so far and has recorded wins over both Jalen Hurts and Justin Herbert. Dart hasn’t exactly put up huge numbers with his arm yet, but he has won games. The rookie’s averaging 169.3 pass yards per game, he’s thrown four touchdowns and he’s run in two more. His three turnovers are an issue but the kid can play ball.
As for Skattebo, he’s the Giant’s #1 back. Over the last three weeks he’s carried the ball 59 times for 236 yards, three touchdowns and he’s caught 10 of his 11 targets for 68 yards receiving.
Sunday’s Best Bets
Troy Franklin o32.5 Receiving Yards (-111) | BetOnline

Troy Franklin is currently the Broncos WR2 and in his second year he finally starting to see the target share that comes with it. Franklin sits 2nd on the team in targets, seeing a 18.6% target share this year while averaging 41.7 receiving yards per game. He’s cleared this line in four his six games this year and this week he faces off with a Giants team that ranks 32nd in yards allowed to wide receivers.
New York ranks 26th in pass yards allowed this year and have struggled against opposing slot receivers. The Giants are giving up the 5th most production to receivers lined up in the slot this year and Franklin leads the Broncos in snaps out of the slot. Giants’ nickel corner Andru Phillips has allowed an NFL high 246 yards out of the slot. He’s also given up two touchdowns but it’s why the Giants have struggled so much.
Franklin’s a 6’2 wideout with built-in chemistry with his QB. Both Nix and Franklin were drafted in 2024 and both drafted from the Oregon Ducks. Nix was the team’s starting quarterback and Franklin lead the team in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns their senior year. Nix was taken with pick #12 in the draft, Franklin was taken with pick #102. The Broncos made a point to bring the young kid here and immediately add a weapon to Nix’s war chest.
Look for the kid to take advantage of this bad Giants secondary.
