In the last part of our quarterback series we will look at some late round quarterbacks who could give you top 12 positional upside. This is coming after three mid-round quarterbacks who could be top 5 in their position. Over the past couple weeks we highlighted the best value picks for the running back and wide receiver positions in NFL fantasy all throughout NFL drafts. Now we will highlight the quarterbacks, a position that isn’t overly scarce in single QB formats, but can still be league winners. So we will need to pick out the true difference makers if you look to snatch a QB early in NFL fantasy drafts, or how to capitalize on grabbing great QB’s late in the draft.
This will become an ongoing series where I highlight players who REEK of value in fantasy drafts. We aren’t talking about grabbing Ja’Marr Chase with the first overall pick, but instead we are going to be finding gems and value. Each article will feature a position within a range of draft rounds (we will always skip the first round). We will assume that these picks are for 12-team leagues with .5 PPR and will not be discussing in terms of Superflex. On top of that, I’ll highlight a futures bet that corresponds with each player, all of whose odds can be found on BetOnline.
So without further ado, let’s kick it off with NFL fantasy football 2025 late-round value picks: the quarterbacks. It’s mock draft season baby!!!
1. NFL Fantasy Round 11 Value Quarterbacks: Drake Maye

Drake Maye could have elite upside late in NFL fantasy drafts
In fantasy football, the late rounds are where championships are won. Sure, your early picks give you the foundation, but it’s the value you find in the double-digit rounds that separates playoff teams from title contenders. Enter Drake Maye, the second-year quarterback for the New England Patriots, who is shaping up as one of the best upside stashes in Round 11 of 2025 fantasy drafts.
The Patriots have quietly retooled their offense around their young quarterback. They invested in offensive line help during the offseason, shoring up pass protection. They also added playmakers at wide receiver and tight end to give Maye more weapons than he had as a rookie.Suddenly, this is not the barren offensive wasteland we saw in Foxborough two years ago. With a stronger supporting cast and a coaching staff fully committed to Maye, the environment is set up for him to succeed. In fantasy terms, that means more passing volume, more touchdowns, and more opportunities for big plays.
In 2024, Maye showed flashes of this, using his legs to keep drives alive. Expect that part of his game to expand in 2025 as he gets more comfortable in the system. A quarterback with a cannon arm who can also run for 25–30 yards per game has the potential to deliver massive fantasy weeks.
By Round 11, most fantasy managers are filling their bench with handcuff running backs or low-ceiling veterans. That’s exactly when you should be swinging for upside — and Drake Maye is all upside. He doesn’t need to be your QB1 right away. You can draft a steady starter earlier and let Maye develop on your bench.
If he breaks out in his second season, you’ll have landed a league-winning quarterback at bargain-basement price. And if he doesn’t? No big deal — the opportunity cost in Round 11 is minimal compared to the potential reward, making him a fantastic NFL fantasy pick.
Drake Maye over 19.5 Passing Touchdowns -125 on BetOnline:
Maye will be in his first full season in the NFL. But in the 13 games he played in last season, he had 15 touchdowns. Maye was known for his arm in college and crafty playmaking. His ability to seek out sneaky reads and keep defenses guessing will help separate him in the NFL. He only needs five more TDs on this prop than he had last season. And with a solid top WR to throw to with Diggs, this line feels very likely to hit as long as both stay healthy. I’d be willing to take this all the way to 25.5 or even 30+ for the extra value.

2. NFL Fantasy Round 12 Value Quarterbacks: Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawrence is looking to get the Jaguars back on top of the division making him a great fantasy pick
The former No. 1 overall pick hasn’t quite lived up to his once-hyped “generational” status, but the situation heading into 2025 makes him one of the most intriguing late-round quarterback targets. Here’s why he’s a sneaky steal this year as a late NFL fantasy pick. Let’s start with the obvious: Trevor Lawrence is going in Round 12. That means he’s being drafted alongside backup running backs and fringe wide receivers, not quarterbacks who have multiple top-10 fantasy finishes under their belt.
The Jaguars turned to Liam Coen to rejuvenate their offense, and his arrival may be exactly what Trevor Lawrence needed. Coen comes from the Sean McVay coaching tree, with a background that emphasizes play-action, motion, and creating easy reads for quarterbacks.
That should be a game-changer for Lawrence, who struggled with inconsistency and scheme fit under previous coordinators. With Coen, expect more rhythm throws, better use of Lawrence’s mobility, and a system designed to maximize the weapons around him. Simply put: Coen can unlock the quarterback we saw flashes of in 2022.
With weapons like Brian Thomas Jr and rookie Travis Hunter, along with a underrated three-headed rushing monster, Lawrence may finally have the supporting cast and coaching staff to make him a top 10 QB once again. If it all clicks, you’re getting a QB who can flirt with 4,000+ yards, 25+ passing touchdowns, and another 300+ rushing yards — production that would easily vault him into the top 10–12 at the position. And if it doesn’t? You spent a Round 12 pick, the fantasy equivalent of a lottery ticket.
Trevor Lawrence to have 30+ Passing Touchdowns +350 on BetOnline:
While Lawrence has never had a 30+ passing TD season, he has the weapons and coaching staff to get him there. He has one 25+ under his belt (+105 if you want to play it safe) Last season Lawrence was able to put up 11 passing touchdowns in 10 games. Top receiving threat Brian Thomas Jr had 10 receiving touchdowns, six of which came after Lawrence’s injury. A healthy season from Lawrence, and an improvement by BTJ (plus the addition of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter) could lead to an exlposive season from Lawrence. One that may be worth the 3x payout on 30+ TD’s.

3. NFL Fantasy Round 13 Value Quarterbacks: JJ McCarthy

Could JJ McCarthy be a NFL fantasy steal?
The Minnesota Vikings didn’t draft JJ McCarthy in the first round of the 2024 draft just to be a game manager. They saw a franchise quarterback. Heading into 2025, McCarthy is no longer the rookie just trying to survive — he’s the centerpiece of a system designed to maximize his strengths. With Kevin O’Connell calling plays and tailoring the offense to his skillset, McCarthy benefits from one of the most QB-friendly schemes in the league.
Most young quarterbacks are stuck trying to drag weak supporting casts, but McCarthy walks into one of the best arsenals in football. He’s got:
-
Justin Jefferson, arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL.
-
Jordan Addison, a polished route runner who emerged as a reliable WR2 in his rookie season.
-
A strong backfield that can keep defenses honest, giving McCarthy clean pockets and favorable passing situations.
Very few quarterbacks drafted this late have access to this kind of firepower. For fantasy, it means McCarthy doesn’t need to be perfect — his receivers can turn average throws into big plays. That kind of support raises his weekly floor and opens the door for explosive ceiling games.
While McCarthy isn’t going to be mistaken for Lamar Jackson, he’s no statue either. At Michigan, he consistently showed he could extend plays and pick up yards on the ground. That mobility has already translated at the NFL level, and in fantasy football, those extra 20–30 rushing yards per game add up quickly. This rushing upside gives McCarthy even more value as a late round NFL fantasy pick.
