Analysis & Breakdown

Miami Vice
The spotlight’s on and it’s shining brightest on Dolphins Head Coach, Mike McDaniel. McDaniels’ enters his fourth full season as Miami’s head coach, carrying a 28–23 regular-season record and an 0–2 mark in the postseason. The Dolphins stack their offense with talent, but injuries and shaky defensive play have held them back over the past couple of years.
Tua Tagovailoa has played 17 games just once in his five years in the league, playing just 11 games last season. Despite the fact he’s missed so much time, Tua’s been a winner when he’s healthy. The young quarterback is 38-24 in his career, averaging 248.7 pass yards per game and he’s got 100 touchdowns to 44 interceptions. He’s crazy accurate, recording a 68% completion rate in his 62 starts.
In games with Tyreek Hill out there, Tua’s numbers balloon to 270.4 pass yards per game, 72 touchdowns, 29 interceptions and a 102.0 QB rating. The Dolphins offense is stacked, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle as your top two receivers, Achane in the backfield; all you need now is a healthy Tua Tagovailoa.
Battle of the Bas…Backups
The Indianapolis Colts had one of the more interesting off-seasons we’ve seen in a while. They drafted Tyler Warren with the 14th overall pick in this year’s draft and signed Daniel Jones to be their backup quarterback; or so we thought. The coaching staff made it abundantly clear, both Jones and Richardson would be competing for the starting job. Now here we are, four days from game day and Daniel Jones has been named the Colts’ starter.
Tough to say the Colts have given up on Richardson, he’s just 23 years old and has all the physical qualities you want in a football player. The guy just can’t put it all together, so for now at least, Daniel Jones will be the starting QB in Indianapolis.
Sunday’s Best Bets
Tyler Warren o36.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

The Colts selected Warren in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft and it wasn’t for his ability to block. Warren’s 6’5, 256 pounds and he’s coming into his first year with the Colts ready to contribute. Warren earned 2024 First Team All-American honors after recording over 1,200 receiving yards and 12 total touchdowns for Penn State. He also won the 2024 John Mackey Award, given annually to college football’s most outstanding tight end.
The Colts are desperate for impactful players and it’s no surprise they took Warren as early as they did. Warren appears to be living up to the hype so far during training camp and the preseason. He’s made some highlight worthy plays and looks to have developed a bit of a connection with Daniel Jones. With Warren’s line set at 36.5, it feels like a good spot to take advantage of what looks to be an undersized Dolphins defense.
Tyreek Hill Anytime Touchdown (+135)

This is Tyreek Hill we’re talking about, the Cheetah. In games with Tua under center, Hill averages 97.5 receiving yards per game, he’s got 27 touchdowns in 40 games and a touchdown in six of their last seven games together.
The Colts gave up 25.1 points per game last year, allowing 229 pass yards per game and 17 total touchdowns to wide outs. Tyreek enters this season with a lot to prove, last year he was relatively held in check averaging 56.4 receiving yards per game and scoring just six total touchdowns.
His six touchdowns last year was the lowest number of touchdowns he’s scored in a singular season. This year Tyreek’s coming for heads, he just needs Tua to stay on his feet to do it.
Bonus Bet: Tyreek Hill 2+ Touchdowns (+1000)
