Analysis & Breakdown

The Boys are Back…I Think
The Cowboys might be back, well at least the offense is back. Dallas ranks 4th in points per game this year (30.2), 1st in 1st downs per game, 3rd in pass yards per game and 8th in rush yards per game. The offense has been firing on all cylinders but it’s the Cowboys defense that continues to hold them back.
Dallas is 2-2-1 on the year, the two losses coming to the defending champs and the Chicago Bears. The game with Green Bay that ended in a tie was a perfect example of how this Dallas team has looked this year. The Cowboys offense recorded 40 points on a Packers defense that ranks top five in the NFL, yet they didn’t go home with the win. Dallas’ defense was nowhere to be found and allowed FOUR successful game tying drives by Jordan Love.
Offensively, the team’s been unstoppable. Dak Prescott’s playing like a top three quarterback in the NFL, averaging 271.1 pass yards per game with 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He’s completing 71% of his passes, sits 3rd in the NFL in completions of 20+ yards and he’s been phenomenal under pressure. Dak’s the #1 graded quarterback under pressure, completing 67% of his passes with an average of 8.4 yards per attempt.
One of biggest beneficiaries of Dak’s play has been George Pickens. In his first season with the Cowboys, Pickens is averaging career highs across the board. He’s averaging 71.4 yards per game, with 23 catches and five touchdowns. His five touchdowns through five weeks is already tied for his career high in a single season.
Ok, so is he Good?
This Carolina Panthers team is one of the hardest teams to read from week to week. Through five weeks, the Panthers are 2-3 with wins over the Falcons and Dolphins. Now by no means are the Dolphins and Falcons top tier teams, but if I told you in September the Panthers have two wins, you wouldn’t believe me.
Last week we saw former Cowboys RB, Rico Dowdle go absolutely insane. Dowdle finished the game with 203 yards on the ground, averaging 9.0 yards per carry and 28 yards through the air. He also got into the endzone and was a huge reason why the Panthers were able to walk away with the win. Bryce Young threw for 198 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Last year the Panthers got their second win of the year in early November, this year it came in the first week of October. The Panthers are ahead of schedule and now host one of the NFL’s worst defenses. The Cowboys rank 29th in points allowed, 24th in defensive redzone efficiency, last in opponent third down conversion rate and last in pass yards allowed.
As good as the Cowboys offense has been, the defense has been equally as bad. Can the Panthers take advantage this week?
Sunday’s Best Bets
Tetairoa McMillan o64.5 Receiving Yards | BetOnline

Last week was the first time we bet the rookie wideout and he came through in a big way. McMillan’s seeing a 25% target share in his rookie year and is the Panthers clear WR1. Five games into Tet’s short career, he’s finished with eight or more targets in every game, clearing this line in three of five games and leads the team in receiving yards by a significant margin.
Bryce Young has 951 passing yards this year, with 351 of those yards going to McMillan. That means McMillan directly accounts for 37% of Young’s passing volume this year. Tet’s seen 43 total targets this year, but only 26 have been deemed ‘catchable’ balls. He’s caught 24 of the 26 catchable targets and ranks 9th in the NFL in ‘air yards’.
McMillan’s solidifying himself as a true WR1 in this league and this week’s matchup with the Cowboys should only help cement his status.
