We’re already in Week 9 and it feels like the entire season’s just zooming by. We’ve only got so many big slates left so let’s have some fun today and bet some touchdowns.

Brock Bowers Anytime Touchdown (+175)

We’re kicking it off with one of the best tight ends in all of football, just a week removed from National TE Day. Bowers has spent a majority of this season either nursing an injury or just completely off field all together. He started the year with a PCL injury and bone bruise in his leg, even playing his first four games with a brace on his knee.
Bowers was obviously hampered in the Raiders first few games and it was evidenced by his play on the field. He’s averaging 6.8 targets, 4.9 receptions but just 56.3 receiving yards per game. Bowers’ hasn’t played since the last weekend of September and reports are he’s back at 100%. He was spotted at practice without the brace this week and it’s got me feeling like we’re in for big Bowers week.
The Jaguars rank 32nd in redzone successful pass plays allowed and that’s exactly why I’m looking to target the young TE. The Raiders offense has been struggling and this week they’ll get one of their biggest weapons back on the field. Jacksonville ranks 24th in receiving yards to the TE position but have done a good job of keeping them out of the endzone.
The Jags haven’t faced a ton of top TE talent but have allowed touchdowns to Travis Kelce, Terrance Ferguson and Jake Tonges. This week they’ll face their toughest test and I love the value on Bowers to get in for six.
Troy Franklin Anytime Touchdown (+270)

I’ve talked about it a ton, but the connection that exists between Troy Franklin and Box Nix is finally being put out there on display. The two Broncos were both drafted in last year’s NFL draft and while Nix had more of an immediate impact, Franklin’s really beginning to grow into his own role.
Both Nix and Franklin played their college ball at Oregon, with Franklin being being Bo’s top target in their final year and catching 14 of his 45 touchdown passes. In his second year with the team, Franklin’s 2nd on the team in target share, he’s caught 33 balls for 358 yards and four touchdowns. In just eight games, he’s already got more receptions, more yards and more touchdowns than he did in his rookie year.
Now in the Broncos’ last five games, Franklin and Sutton have both seen 34 targets a piece; but in the redzone that drastically shifts. Franklin’s got eight targets in the redzone over the last five games and Sutton just three. Franklin’s also scored three touchdowns in these five games and this week Sutton’s matched up with Derek Stingley Jr.; one of the toughest cornerback matchups in the league.
The Texans don’t give up a ton of touchdowns and it’s because of quickly they get to the QB. This week they’ll be matched with one of the toughest offensive lines in the league and if Nix can just stay on his feet, I love Franklin’s chances to get into the endzone.
Trey McBride Anytime Touchdown (+130)

We’re capping it off with Monday Night Football. The Cowboys host the Cardinals this week and it’ll once again be Jacoby Brissett under center for Arizona. Brissett’s now started two games for the Cardinals, going 0-2 but throwing for 599 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. He’s thrown two touchdowns in each game and three of his four touchdown passes have been to Trey McBride.
In these two games with Brissett under center, McBride’s seen eight total redzone targets and is coming off a two touchdown game against the Packers. This week the Cardinals line up against one of the worst pass defenses in the entire NFL. Dallas ranks 31st in receiving touchdowns allowed this year but a majority have been to wideouts.
This week we’re targeting McBride because just because of the redzone volume. Him and Brissett seem to be developing a little bit of a connection and I really think that’s why Brissett’s getting the start once again on Monday Night.
