Analysis & Breakdown

Questions at Quarterback
Joe Flacco was never supposed to start all 17-games for the Browns, but after just four weeks, it looks like Head Coach Kevin Stefanski’s ready to go in a new direction. While it still hasn’t been confirmed, Stefanski’s done his best to avoid committing to Flacco as this team’s starter this Sunday. Reports are coming out Dillon Gabriel will get the nod in London, looking to make his first ever start in the NFL.
On the defensive side, the Browns have been great. Cleveland’s got the #1 graded defense this year and the top pass rush in the league. Myles Garrett is terrorizing opposing quarterbacks, he’s got four sacks on the year and ranks at the top in double team percentage and rush percentage. He’s on a different planet and it’s really helped the Browns stay in games.
Could a quarterback change possibly change the fate of this Browns squad? Probably not, but we did see the Giants get their first win of the year last week in Jaxson Dart’s NFL debut. Sometimes a little shake up is all you need and it looks like Cleveland could be in store for some changes this week.
Are they Bad or Good?
The Minnesota Vikings have all the talent in the world. At receiver they’ve got Justin Jefferson and now Jordan Addison back on the field. On the defensive side they’ve Isaiah Rodgers and Harrison Smith Sr. in the secondary with Brian Flores calling the plays. Kevin O’Connell is one of the most talented Head Coaches in the league and it looks like all they need is a reliable quarterback.
After a season in which they won 14 games with Sam Darnold under center, the Vikings are now once again looking for an answer under center. J.J. McCarthy did not look good in his two starts and remains out due to ankle injury. Carson Wentz split his two starts this year, throwing for 523 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Last week Wentz connected on 65% of his passes, threw for 350 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. It was his best game with the Vikings, despite coming away with the loss.
This week the Vikings will have the rest advantage, coming into this game after their matchup in Dublin with the Steelers. They’ve got shorter travel, no time zone issues and will now have had more than a full week to adjust to the time difference. The Vikings have two wins in a division where no team has greater than three. The division’s wide open and win this week in London would go a long way in any type of postseason push.
Sunday’s Best Bets
Jordan Addison o46.5 Receiving Yards | BetOnline

Jordan Addison returned to the field last week and immediately saw 96% of the team’s offensive snaps. Not only was he on the field for virtually every play, he was targeted eight times and unfortunately only eight of those targets were deemed ‘catchable’. Addison’s average depth of target was 14.9 yards and finished the game with 53 yards after the catch. He was great in his debut and I’m expecting the Vikings to utilize him even more this week.
Through 33 career regular season games, Addison’s caught 137 balls for 1,900 yards and 20 total touchdowns. Last week against Pittsburgh, Addison recorded 114 yards on just four catches and came within inches of scoring a touchdown. He’s putting huge numbers and he’s done it with a new quarterback every single year. Head Coach Kevin O’Connell has spoken highly of the speedy young wideout and the front office is looking to extend him at the end of this year.
Addison’s going to be a big part of this offense moving forward and now with another week of practice under his belt, don’t be surprised if the playbook opens up just a little more.
