Baltimore Ravens vs Los Angeles Rams: Can it get much worse in Baltimore? Not only have they lost three straight games, which brings them to four on the year, but it looks like they’ll be without their starting quarterback once again.
Looking like no Lamar Jackson again this week… https://t.co/pRSompPKCv

Last Sunday, Cooper Rush stepped in for the injured Jackson and struggled mightily in his first start, as the Ravens were blown out at home by the Houston Texans, 44-10. Rush completed 14 of 20 passes for 179 yards but failed to throw a touchdown and tossed three interceptions in one of the worst quarterback performances of the season. Derrick Henry accounted for Baltimore’s lone touchdown but was bottled up overall, managing just 33 yards on 15 carries.
The bigger concern continues to be on the defensive side, where the Ravens are surrendering an NFL-worst 35.4 points per game. Now they’ll face Matthew Stafford and a Rams offense eager to bounce back after a crushing 26-23 overtime loss to division rival San Francisco, a game in which Los Angeles fell to a team filled with backups playing.

Baltimore Ravens vs Los Angeles Rams NFL Betting Insights

Is Kyren Williams primed for another big outing against this Ravens defense?
Odds Flip: Given the current state of the Ravens, it’s no surprise the betting market has completely flipped for this matchup. Back in May, Baltimore opened as 4.5-point favorites with the total set at 49.5. Now, with Lamar Jackson sidelined and paired with what’s arguably the worst defense in the NFL, the line has swung dramatically to the Rams as 7.5-point favorites. Naturally, the total has also dropped to 44.5.
It feels like the perfect storm for Sean McVay’s crew: extra prep time, the motivation to rebound from last Thursday’s abhorrent loss and the good fortune of facing Cooper Rush instead of a two-time MVP dual-threat quarterback. Add in the chance to exploit one of the league’s worst defenses, and the Rams enter this matchup with every advantage on their side.
Ravens vs Rams Picks & Predictions: I’d be surprised if the Rams found a way to lose this game – though that’s exactly how I felt heading into last week’s matchup with the 49ers. Still, I expect them to bounce back, but I’m not eager to lay more than the key number of -7 with them on the road.
I did consider a play on the Ravens’ team total, given the likelihood they’ll struggle to generate offense with Cooper Rush under center against a Rams defense that ranks seventh in EPA per play and 11th in success rate allowed. With Baltimore’s team total sitting in the 17.5 to 18.5 range, there’s a reasonable case for the under. That said, I see more appealing value in the prop market.
Rams running back Kyren Williams is coming off a game that was both impressive and costly. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry for 65 rushing yards, while adding eight receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns through the air. The downside? A critical fumble at the 1-yard line that could have sealed a win for Los Angeles.
Williams is in a prime spot to rebound against a Baltimore run defense that ranks dead last in rush EPA, 31st in rush success rate, and is giving up 5.8 yards per carry. His rushing yards prop is listed as low as 65.5 with -115 juice to the over, and that’s where I’m placing my focus. Rather than sweating out a side or total in what could turn into a nonsensical game, I’d rather isolate a clear mismatch: a weak run defense versus a talented back capable of exploiting it.
Best Bet: Kyren Williams Over 65.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
