After coming off a nice tune up game against Samford (48-0 victory), Mike Elko and his team will be prepared for Arch. They clearly underestimated the South Carolina Gamecocks and barely survived. That won’t happen again. The Aggies will be ready.

But the Longhorns will want to play spoiler and improve their bowl projection. Their College Football Playoff hopes are all but gone after losing to Georgia two weeks ago, but they didn’t roll over and die. Instead they put up 52 against Arkansas, but still allowed 37. The Aggies are a much different animal.

The Aggies are absolutely rolling and nobody has shown they can stop them. Even when the Gamecocks broke out to a 30-3 halftime lead, Texas A&M responded by shutting them out in the second half. In fact, this defense has not allowed a single point in the last six quarters of football.

The Aggies are top 10 in yards and points per play on offense, and lead the nation in third down conversion defense. This team is stacked on both sides of the ball, and I think there is just a talent discrepancy with the way the teams are playing, especially being this late in the season. The Longhorns have nothing to play for but pride, while the Aggies need a win to control their destiny and not leave it up to the tiebreakers.

Texas is outside the top 50 in yards per play and third down conversion offense, plus they are No. 71 in red zone scoring percentage. They are north of 100 in yards per rush, and are facing a very good secondary. Texas A&M is top 20 in opponent completion percentage, and top 30 in yards per pass and passing yards per game allowed. Plus they lead the nation in sacks as well.

I may have some stake in Texas A&M -5.5 (+144), -9.5 (+240), and -13.5 (+350) for you real sickos. The Aggies leave no doubt on the road.
