A top 25 SEC Showdown happens in Columbia this weekend as the No. 22 Missouri Tigers take on the No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies. Mike Elko leads his undefeated team to face Mizzou with both teams coming off a bye week. This will be Texas A&M’s third straight road game, but this team still controls their own destiny, which I believe puts them in a very dangerous spot. Can the Tigers play spoiler and ruin their perfect season at home? Find out with our favorite picks below.

The Missouri Tigers opened the season by winning five straight games, and they even played their first six at home, only losing to Alabama. Finally in late October they had to go on the road, splitting games at Auburn and Vanderbilt, losing to the latter in Nashville two weeks ago. The Tigers will have to start true freshman Matt Zollers as Beau Pribula is injured and unavailable. Can he do the impossible and take down this undefeated Aggies team?
The Aggies are 8-0, which is their best start since 2016 when the team started out 6-0, but finished just 8-4 on the season. Looking ahead, the Aggies finish the season by hosting South Carolina and Samford, but have to go to Austin to take on Texas. Their two toughest remaining games are both on the road, one this weekend, the other to close out the season. Their full focus should be on the game in front of them, especially coming off a bye week.

I payed a buck 20 for this the other day, so get slightly better odds than I did right now at BetOnline. The Aggies roll to victory in this one. I cannot help but ask the question “Who has Missouri beaten?” This team has exactly zero good wins on their resume, and they haven’t shown up in their two losses.
In their last three games, the Tigers lost to Alabama at home, needed double overtime to beat Auburn on the road, and lost to Vanderbilt in Nashville. They are 0-2 straight up and against the spread as an underdog this season, and I see them moving to 0-3. Texas A&M is well rested, they control their own destiny, and they do not have a look ahead spot. Their full focus will be on the task at hand.
The Aggies are the No. 1 team in the country in opponent third down conversion percentage. They also rank top 20 in yards allowed per carry and yards allowed per pass, while jumping to the top eight in terms of points allowed per play. Missouri has struggled against teams with a pulse, converting just 22% of their third downs against Alabama and Vanderbilt (6/27). Their analytics are inflated due to their lack of competition, and they’ve shown they can’t close against good teams. Texas A&M is not just a good team, they are a national title contender and I see them absolutely steam rolling their hosts on Saturday.
