The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Duke Blue Devils go head to head early on ESPN Saturday morning. Both bring perfect 3-0 conference records into this ACC contest, while the visitors have yet to taste defeat this season. Haynes King and company look to stay perfect against a Duke football team that might be figuring some things out after winning three straight. However, Georgia Tech has proven to be one of the best in the conference, and they know how much this matchup could mean. Let’s get into our picks for this contest.

After starting off 1-2 with losses to No. 11 Illinois and at Tulane, the Blue Devils have found their stride. Duke has now won three straight games to start ACC play, with two of those being on the road. They beat NC State at home 45-33, obliterated Syracuse in New York 38-3, and then went to the west coast and beat California 45-21. After a bye week, they have another ranked opponent with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets coming to town.
Georgia Tech is a perfect 6-0. They are halfway home to a perfect season, and are looking at an easy path to the ACC Championship, if they can just win out. The Yellow Jackets have two tough wins on the road already, and I’m sure they know how much is at stake, considering Miami is also undefeated in ACC play.
Yes, Duke is 3-0 as well, but they have to face No. 18 Virginia and go on the road to face a Clemson team that has nothing to lose at this point. If Georgia Tech wins this one, they can waltz their way to the conference championship.

While you have to give flowers to Darien Mensah and the Blue Devils for finding their stride, they still haven’t shown up when it matters. They had five turnovers against the Illini at home, and had 13 less minutes of possession. Ironically, they out gained both teams in their losses, but I do not think they are equipped to stop Georgia Tech.
They heavily struggled against a mobile quarterback when facing Jake Retzlaff and Tulane, and I think we see something similar in this matchup.
#12 Georgia Tech vs. Duke NCAA Football Picks and Predictions

Haynes King has no fear when running the football making his rushing yards a top player prop this Saturday
Georgia Tech vs. Duke Prediction: Georgia Tech Wins Outright, Under 60
Best Bet: Haynes King (GT) Over 68.5 Rushing Yards (-110) BetOnline
I am also on the Yellow Jackets outright as well for plus money, but just a half unit so we can still profit if this prop comes through. Haynes King leads the Yellow Jackets with 87 carries, 440 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns. He’s taken just three sacks all year long and has at least a 17 yard rush in all five contests. King has ran for triple digits in three of five games, and 60+ in four as well.
Duke struggles to contain mobile QBs, as we’ve seen this season. Elon’s quarterback had 18 carries for 61 yards and a touchdown. Luke Altmyer (not known for running) somehow busted out a 25 yard rush when he came to town. Jake Retzlaff tore them up, going for 111 rushing yards on 17 carries with four touchdowns. He found green grass for a 29 yard rush, while the team still ran for 4.1 yards per carry. Against NC State, Duke allowed 4.9 yards per rush and 171 total on the ground.
I do not see them containing the bulldozer that is Haynes King this weekend.
