Bowling Green vs. UMass: Odds & Predictions | November 25, 2025

The final Tuesday of MACtion brings one last chance to cash in before the season wraps. UMass and Bowling Green close out their year in a matchup that feels far more telling than the records show. It is the type of game where motivation, pride, and one last push matter more than anything on paper. UMass is searching for something positive to carry into the offseason, while Bowling Green is looking to finish strong and set the tone for what comes next. With that in mind, here is the matchup breakdown and my best bet for tonight.

Bowling Green vs. UMass – November 25

The final game of the season for these two MAC teams brings the UMass Minutemen another chance to record their first win of the year as they take on the Bowling Green Falcons. The Minutemen have been statistically one of the worst teams in college football this season, and nothing suggests Tuesday night will be any different. Entering this matchup as 14.5 point underdogs, can they shock the nation and take down the Falcons? I do not see it happening.

Tuesday night I am looking to get in and get out of this matchup. I want no part of a side or a total. I want Bowling Green’s first half team total over 14.5, priced at $1.05. The Falcons have not been the most impressive first half team this season, but they have the luxury of facing the revolving door that is the Minutemen defense.

What Defense?

Overall this season, UMass has allowed 22.0 first half points per game. At home they have been a little better, allowing 19.0. During conference play, they have only allowed Northern Illinois to surpass 14.5 first half points. However, NIU is only averaging 9.5 points in the first half this season, yet they managed to score 31 first half points against UMass.

Another thing about this Minutemen team is that they average around 1.5 turnovers per game while rarely forcing opponents into mistakes. The Falcons defense has excelled in that area, averaging 1.5 takeaways per game, which ranks 41st in the nation. If they can create an early turnover and turn it into points, it could swing this matchup in our favor.

Bowling Green has not been great in the first half, only averaging 7.6 points. However, they have seen success against bad defense. Against Kent State they scored 14 points. The Golden Flashes are slightly better defensively than UMass, but they are still allowing 20.4 first half points this year.

This feels like another spot where a bad offense can rise against this atrocious UMass defense. We saw what NIU did a few weeks ago, and I think Bowling Green can deliver a similar result Tuesday night.
