Best NCAA Football Week 7 Player Props: Light Prop Weekend

Stockton has found the end zone in three of five games this year - NCAA Football Player Props

We’ve had some success in the player prop market this season, and I think we can grow on that this weekend. However I’ve been trying to be careful about picking my spots, and not too many were striking me this Saturday. I do have plenty of other college football picks for this weekend, and have a couple of player props on Thursday and Friday which can be found at Betting News. But let’s see what we’ve got this Saturday as far as individual player performances.

So far this season we’ve had a little bit of success, but let’s try to build on it.

  • NCAA Football Player Prop YTD
  • 11-9 (57.9%)

#8 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. #14 Missouri Tigers NCAA Football Player Props

Hardy is quietly having a Heisman caliber season for the Missouri Tigers - NCAA Football Player Props

Hardy is quietly having a Heisman caliber season for the Missouri Tigers

Best Bet: Ahmad Hardy (MIZ) Over 99.5 Rushing Yards (-114) BetOnline

For transparency reasons, I did snag 90+ at (-122) when this line first dropped. Obviously it is long gone, but I still trust Hardy to run for triple digits again. He’s a workhorse, can handle plenty of touches, and the Tigers rely on him a ton. Missouri is coming off a bye, I like them to win this game outright, and that starts on the legs of Ahmad Hardy.

He’s gone for 100+ rushing yards in all five games, doing so in as little as 10 carries. However, he has touched the ball at least 22 times in four straight games, and has busted out a 30+ yard rush in four of five games (last contest his longest rush was 18 yards). He’s running for 7.1 yards per carry, and his lowest single game YPC was still 4.5 against Kansas. Plus, the Tide have failed to stop the run.

Alabama is bottom 40 in yards allowed per carry (4.7) and are bottom 12 in rush play percentage. Missouri already runs plenty, and I look for them to give Hardy tons of touches to take some pressure off of Beau Pribula at home. Against teams with a pulse (Florida State, Georgia and Vanderbilt), the Crimson Tide have allowed nearly 200 rushing yards per game, and are giving up 5.93 per attempt. Not only that, but they have also allowed a 30 yard rush in all three of those matchups.

Hardy can cover a large percentage of this number in just one touch, and with at least 20 coming his way, he should have no problem chewing some clock for the Tigers and racking up another 100 yard rushing performance.

#10 Georgia Bulldogs vs. Auburn Tigers NCAA Football Player Props

Stockton has no fear in using his legs to extend a play or drive - NCAA Football Player Props

Stockton has no fear in using his legs to extend a play or drive

Best Bet: Gunner Stockton (UGA) Over 24.5 Rushing Yards (-122) BetOnline

Gunner Stockton leads the Bulldogs in rushing touchdowns, he has 39 carries on the season and nearly 200 rushing yards and runs for five yards per carry along with both Georgia running backs. He has cleared this line in three of five games this year, including a Tennessee matchup where he took four sacks. Plus, he ended with 22 rushing yards against Alabama while taking two sacks.

He’s avoided being sacked in his three other games, and Auburn’s lack of quarterback pressure is no concern to me. Stockton has covered over half of this number in a single carry with a 14+ yard rush in four of five games as well. This guy isn’t afraid to make a move, scramble to the outside and find some green grass if all of his receivers are covered.

While Auburn sacked Marcel Reed four times and John Mateer once, both still found some daylight for at least a nine yard rush. I trust the Bulldogs offensive line to hold strong while the Tigers’ defense will be more worried about improving the holes in their secondary.
