#6 Georgia Bulldogs vs. #15 Tennessee Volunteers NCAA Football Player Props

Aguilar has only gone under this number once in his entire college career - NCAA Football Player Props

Aguilar has only gone under this number once in his entire college career

Best Bet: Joey Aguilar Over 199.5 Passing Yards (-120) BetOnline

Joey Aguilar has been slinging the pill for the Volunteers this season, and I see him needing to do so if Tennessee wants a shot at pulling off this upset. So far the guy has averaged 267.5 passing yards through two contests, but he’s had plenty of help on the ground. Tennessee’s rushing attack has been very good, but they might not be able to help much this weekend.

The Georgia front seven let Marshall run for just 78 rushing yards on 2.6 per carry. Last week, Austin Peay only had 45 total yards on the ground, going for just 1.6 per carry. As great as the Volunteer’s offensive line and running game is, they are in for a wake up call. Expecting minimal success on the ground means Aguilar will have to use his arm.

We only need 200 passing yards which is something he’s done in every single collegiate start besides his very first, where he went 11/14 for 174 yards and three touchdowns. Against No. 25 Clemson last year (a sort of comparable defense), Aguilar had 214 yards through the air on 18 completions with a touchdown and just one sack. I expect the volume to be enough to get us here, as he’s thrown the ball 29.5 times the past two games, and should need to have at least 35+ attempts against the Dawgs.

#16 Texas A&M Aggies vs. #8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish NCAA Football Player Props

Jordan Faison had five catches against Miami in Week 1 - NCAA Football Player Props

Jordan Faison had five catches against Miami in Week 1

Best Bet: Jordan Faison Over 33.5 Receiving Yards (-115) BetOnline

The way Jordan Faison plays slot receiver gets me feeling some type of way. His main route tree consists of what I consider “Quarterback Friendly” routes. I’m talking slants, quick outs when his guy is shading inside and rubs over the middle alongside TE Eli Raridon to give Faison some space to work with. Marcus Freeman utilizes this guy to get the best out of him, and simultaneously makes it easy on his young QB.

Jordan Faison had five catches for 33 yards against Miami, and the whole team is well rested and ready for their home opener against No. 16 Texas A&M. Plus, Faison saw the most targets of any Irish wide out, with only Rairdon seeing more balls thrown his way. The Aggies know they don’t want to get beat on the ground. They are going to stack the box, shutting down RB Jeremiyah Love, and forcing the Irish to beat them with CJ Carr’s young arm.

In order to do so, look for Freeman to scheme some quick passes to Faison, maybe even a couple of screens, letting him work with his legs. Faison is at his best when he catches the ball with time to make a move on the closing defender, so giving him plenty of green grass to work with will be a priority for the Irish. This number is the best on the market, but I also like him at 37.5 and even 40+ receiving yards for plus money.

Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. California Golden Bears NCAA Football Player Props

Jacob De Jesus is a threat for any secondary he faces - NCAA Football Player Props

Jacob De Jesus is a threat for any secondary he faces

Best Bet: Jacob De Jesus Over 3.5 Receptions (-115) BetOnline

Note: Pictured above is De Jesus as a member of the UNLV Rebels as a prominent return man last season. But this year he’s tearing it up for Cal.

So far this year, De Jesus has cleared this line in both contests, totaling 10 receptions for 95 yards. He had four catches in Week 1, he had six in Week 2, and he’s seen tons of routes and balls thrown in his direction. This undersized slot receiver has built some great chemistry with his quarterback, who is currently having a fantastic season.

De Jesus should see a minimum of 7-8 targets, and with Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele completing over 70% of his passes, linking up with one of his favorite targets should be easy. Our receiver is also prone to have some screens called directly for him, which is an easy way for him to have some quick catches. With all of our props listed here, volume is key, and I believe it will be in our favor this weekend.
