Coming into this game, these two teams are coming off two completely different games. The now No. 20, Utah State took down No. 13 Colorado State on Saturday at home, while Wyoming is coming off a 17-point loss to New Mexico. One team is trying to keep their 13-game winning streak alive, while the other is trying to get back into the win column and not lose by double-digits once again.
The Stank:
After upsetting No. 13 Colorado State on Saturday, the Utah State faithful stormed the court, as they should. However, I live by a code, and that code states: if a school storms the field/court or cries and they did not win the championship of their respected sport. I have to fade them in the very next game. It is just the perfect letdown spot following a massive high of upsetting a ranked opponent at home.

I have to take Wyoming. However, this game will not be close. Utah State is significantly better, but we just need the Cowboys to cover.
Wyoming is a lot better on the road, top 150 in adjusted efficiency. Erik Haslam has them having a slight away/home court advantage in this matchup. Wyoming is 167th in away/home-court advantage. They are more consistent than Utah State. Haslametrics has them 108th in consistency, while Utah State is 259th.
My favorite thing about this Wyoming squad is they get to the line and make their free throws. They are top 50 in free throw rate and free throw percentage in road/neutral matchups. On top of that, the Cowboys are top 60 in free throw rate defense, and they do not foul. Even if Wyoming get into foul trouble, the Aggies are 268th in free throw percentage (68.5%).
Prediction: Utah State wins by double-digits
Concerns: The Aggies are home coming off that big win over Colorado State. I do wish they were on the road in this situation, even with Wyoming playing better on the road. Things just get weird in Laramie, Wyoming. However, if you have a system you live by it. Let’s go Cowboys!
