The college basketball gods have blessed us with another incredible Big East matchup. #1 UConn as they head to Omaha to take on the #15 Creighton Bluejays.
UConn, is coming off a gargantuan win over then #4 Marquette 81-53, has not lost a game since December 20 against Seton Hall. Meanwhile, Creighton is coming off a road win over Butler. They have had their ups and downs this season but are hitting their stride at the tail end.

The Stank:
Like my last piece on UConn, I will be fading them based on a blowout win. Only this time, it is because it was against a top-10 opponent. UConn has been on a tear in their last two games, outscoring their opponents by an average of 32 points. The blowout in Chicago against DePaul should not count as a road victory. Nobody attends DePaul games; I would know as a two-time DePaul graduate.
This is the perfect time to fade UConn. It is a long season, and it is highly unlikely that they will go undefeated in their remaining five games. They are loaded. They are better than they were a season ago, but the Big East is a tough conference to win, especially on the road.

The Bluejays have been playing some solid ball in their last ten games. Offensively, they are inside the top 30 in almost every major category. Their most significant flaws have been offensive rebounding and getting to the foul line. They need to work on their second-chance opportunities.
Defensively, the Bluejays have excelled against top 50 schools. Top 20 in adjusted defensive efficiency, eFG% defense, and 2-point defense. The Bluejays’ size matches up against UConn’s.
This game will be as close as the spread predicts, and it should be one of the best games on the slate.
Give me the Bluejays to cover and win outright.
