The Volunteers seem to have found their stride after winning four of their last five to improve to 8-5 in the SEC. The Aggies sit at 9-4 but lost their last time out to Mississippi State on the road on Tuesday. Texas A&M looks to bounce back at home, but can they do so against the Vols?

This line steamed quickly for the home team. The Aggies opened up catching 2.5 points, and were bought down almost immediately to 1.5. Now the line has completely flipped four total points, leaving the Aggies as short favorites at home. Which makes much more sense to me.
The Volunteers are not a great team on the road. Against Top 50 teams in the SEC on the road, Tennessee is just 1-4 straight up. Overall they are 2-4 on the road in conference play, beating Oklahoma and Texas… whoopty doo.
Tennessee has a GREAT defense, but their offense takes a MAJOR hit on the road.

The TO Rate specifically will come into play, as the Aggies rank Top 40 in TO forced at home this year, while also boasting a Top 10 defense in terms of efficiency and eFG%. This is going to be a rock fight, and I will be backing the steam and taking the Aggies at home.

Again, full disclosure, I did lock in the ML while it was priced at (+102), but still endorse laying two points with Texas A&M. Both of these teams play slow and don’t shoot very many threes. This game will live inside of the three point line where both teams are Top 20 in 2P% Defense, but the Aggies are over 50 spots higher in 2P% offense, with their metrics moving in the right direction when factoring home and away splits.
The Aggies are 12-1 at home, losing only to Alabama in a game where they simply couldn’t keep up, 94-88. At home, Texas A&M is Top 50 in offensive efficiency, Top 20 in FT Rate and 1st in the nation in crashing the offensive glass. In a game where I expect points to be very hard to earn, I trust the Aggies offense a little bit more, given they are at home.
