Mount St. Mary’s vs American: First Four Predictions

North Alabama vs Bradley: NIT First Round Predictions

We are backing the Braves at home tonight. They thrive in their own gym and are simply the much better team who have played much tougher competition this season.
The Braves are 9th in the country in eFG% offensively, meaning they are incredibly efficient shooting the ball. On the flip side, they are Top 50 in eFG% defense, so they make their opponent’s lives hell on the defensive end. The Braves are the best three point shooting team in the country, knocking down over 40% from deep, and ranking Top 100 in 3P Rate as nearly 42% of their shots come from downtown. Even though they play slow, the Lions will pick up the pace and give Bradley more opportunities to score.
The North Alabama Lions have played one Top 100 team all year, losing twice to the Lipscomb Bisons who rank 98th on Bart Torvik. Sure they’ve won 10 of their last 12, but other than losing twice to Lipscomb, they haven’t seen anyone ranked inside the Top 185. Bradley is going to be a wake up call for a team who plays worse on the road, including ranking 314th in 3P Rate and 115th in 3P% defense.
Offensively, the Lions take care of the basketball and don’t foul very often, but I see Bradley making it rain from deep tonight at home, which should be enough to cover this number.
