NCAA Basketball Predictions, Odds & Best Bets (3/10)

Back Robert Morris tonight

It’s finally conference tournament week! Although the big dogs don’t start till later in the week, some mid major tournaments are in action right now, with a couple of teams looking to punch their ticket to the Big Dance tonight. Let’s look at our best bets for Monday as the number of games continues to shrink each day.

So far, we have five teams who have won their conference tournament and are in the Big Dance.

  • ASUN: Lipscomb Bisons
  • Big South: High Point Panthers
  • Missouri Valley: Drake Bulldogs
  • Ohio Valley: SIU-Edwardsville Cougars
  • Summit: Omaha Mavericks

Tonight we have two automatic qualifying bids looking to be punched.

NCAA Basketball Best Bets – March 10th, 2025

Texas A&M – Corpus Christi vs Northwestern State Predictions

Corpus Christi faces Northwestern State

Best Bets: TAMU-CC -3.5 (-115)  BetOnline

In this tournament, the Islanders are simply the better team.

They already beat Northwestern State once this season, winning by 9 at home and covering the 8.5. Now they are laying 3.5 on a neutral site in this Southland Tournament Quarterfinal matchup.

Despite CC winning the regular season meeting, Northwestern State is the higher seed in the conference tournament. The Islanders beat down Houston Christian last night, while the Demons bring a four game winning streak into this game. However, they aren’t going to like the pace in which TAMU-CC pushes this game.

The Islanders are 3rd in the conference in adjusted efficiency on both sides of the ball. They limit offensive rebounds, get to the free throw line plenty, and lead the Southland in 2P%. The Demons are very, very slow, ranking 9th offensively in the conference and 11th in turnovers allowed. Plain and simple, we are betting on the better team here, and if you are worried about the spread, pair the ML with my second play below.

Oakland vs Robert Morris Predictions

Amarion Dickerson adds 13.2 points and 6 rebounds per game

Best Bets: Robert Morris -3.5 (-108)  BetOnline

Back Bobby Mo with me tonight in the Horizon league Semifinals. This is a double revenge spot for the Grizzlies as they lost to the Colonials in both meetings this year. Oakland hosted Robert Morris on January 4th as 5.5 point favorites at home. The Colonials won that game outright by 8, 79-71. Then when it was Robert Morris’ turn to host, they were 1.5 point favorites at home, and ended up winning and covering, 73-71.

Despite it being incredibly tough to beat a team three times, and the fact that Oakland went to the tournament last year, I still like Bobby Mo.

They looked incredible against Wright State, running them out of the gym. Robert Morris ranks 2nd in the conference in defensive efficiency and lead the conference in eFG% Defense. They aren’t the sexiest offense, but they crash the glass and get to the charity stripe, ranking Top 40 nationally in each stat. Overall they force turnovers, limit offensive rebounds for their opponent, and do their best at keeping them off the free throw line. Oakland will want to slow things down, as they rank 11th in the conference in turnovers allowed, and are 299th in the country in giving up offensive rebounds.

I think this Colonials team is just that much better this year, and it’s tough to bet against their winning streak.

If you are worried about the spreads, both money lines pair up for about +150.
