NCAA Basketball Best Bets – March 4th, 2025
UMass Lowell vs Maine Predictions
Back Maine tonight against the Riverhawks

Georgia vs South Carolina Predictions

Villanova vs Georgetown Predictions

These teams already played once and soared under a 135 total. It’s ticked up plenty of points now that they are playing in D.C., but it’s too much for me, and I don’t trust the offenses to score enough.
Like I said, the teams only combined for 127 last time out. Even though Georgetown is faster, the Wildcats are slow enough for the both of em. Villanova ranks Bottom 12 in possessions per game. They only speed up a little on the road, but their defense does improve, dropping 10 spots in overall defensive efficiency to get within the Top 100. The Wildcats don’t get to the free throw line very often, but they clean up the glass, ranking Top 40 in offensive rebounds allowed. Their offense is very efficient, but it drops off away from home, plus they face a very good defense.
Despite playing faster, Georgetown’s strength is their defense. They also struggle to get to the line ranking Bottom 20 in FT Rate offense. However, defensively they are great. This team is 51st overall defensively and 69th in eFG%, plus at home they are 26th at forcing turnovers and 42nd in FT Rate defense. Even though this number has ticked up from the previous matchup, despite staying well under, I don’t trust either team to put the ball in the hoop enough in what should be a low scoring game.
