The Big 12 Tournament is underway, and the Iowa State Cyclones ended Cincinnati’s hopes at the making the Big Dance. However, now they have a rematch against a team that already got the best of them this season. The 5th seeded Cyclones take on the 4th seeded BYU Cougars in the Big 12 Quarterfinals.
Like I said, these teams already played, and the Cougars were able to take down the Cyclones at Hilton Coliseum. That is no small feat. Despite Iowa State finally being full strength, the Cougars came into Ames, took them to double overtime and eventually took beat them at home.
But in the Big 12 tournament, in what is practically going to be a second home game for Iowa State, it will take even more for BYU to come out on top.

Cyclones Looking for 2nd Straight Big 12 Tournament Title
The Iowa State Cyclones are no secret to playing well in this tournament. Other than Kansas, they have the most titles amongst Big 12 teams, and are the defending champions. In this revenge spot which is basically at home, I certainly lean with the Cyclones in this match.
Their defense is one of the best in the country, and they held Cincy to just 32.8% from the field, allowing only 56 points. Iowa State forces plenty of turnovers, they get to the free throw line, and they now have plenty of scoring options from the outside. I trust this team to come well prepared to this second matchup, and focus exclusively on the defensive side of things.
