Rivalry weekend is here in the college football world, and yes, Feast Week may be behind us. Nevertheless, there is still a jam packed schedule of college basketball games on Saturday, and we needed to find our best bets. Let’s dive right in to our favorite NCAA Basketball picks for this weekend as some multi-team events crown a champion.

Best Bet: Dartmouth/Saint Peter’s Under 144 (-115) BetOnline

This was the first button I pressed for Saturday’s college hoops slate. This matchup absolutely reeks of an under. Now, don’t get me wrong, Dartmouth is a team that loves to run. They rank top 25 in pace this season, but they don’t crash the offensive glass, and they turn the ball over a ton. Plus, they chuck up a bunch of threes. The Big Green rank top 25 in 3P Rate, but drop all the way to No. 163 in 3P% offense. Saint Peter’s is the same way.

The Peacocks are No. 63 in 3P Rate, but drop way down to No. 213 in 3P% offense. So both of these teams are going to be chucking up a bunch of threes, but I’m not sure how many will actually go through the hoop. Saint Peter’s is also one of the slowest teams in the nation, and at the Yanitelli Center, they shouldn’t have a problem controlling the pace of the game.

So far this season, the Peacocks have had just two games see at least 70 possessions. Defensively, they are top 10 at forcing turnovers. Therefore I could see plenty of steals leading to long, slow offensive possessions for the Peacocks.

Ultimately, I do not think either offense is good enough to cover this number, especially considering the low amount of trips up and down the floor we might see.

Best Bet: Oregon State -1 (-110) BetOnline

I actually snagged the Beavers ML when it was this same price, but don’t be afraid of the spread. The Beavers are winning this game. They have lost four straight games, but are 3-0 at home, where they host the Lancers. Oregon State has played plenty of a tough schedule so far this year, as six of their seven opponents have been in the top half of the country.

On the flip side, sure, Cal Baptist is undefeated, but who have they played? Have they been tested? The answer is no. Cal Baptist is a very slow team that does rebound and defend well, but they are allergic to any shot from downtown, and I believe their numbers may be inflated due to their competition (or lack thereof).

The Lancers are 6-0, but their toughest opponent was outside of the top 100 in the country, and they have only played two teams inside the top 200. They have been beating up on bad teams, and now I think they are in for a wake up call on the road in Corvallis on Saturday Night. Give me the Beavers to hand the Lancers their first loss of this college basketball season.
