The NFL is certainly still the King of Sunday Sports, but there’s plenty of spots to love on the NCAA Basketball betting board. Plus after yesterday’s 0-2 outing, we had to get right back on the horse. Let’s get into our favorite picks.

Troy Trojans vs. CS-Northridge Matadors NCAA Basketball Picks

Best Bet: CS-Northridge +5 (-110) BetOnline

Let the home dog bark tonight in Northridge. The Matadors LOVE to run, ranking No. 5 in the country in pace, while the Trojans do not. The hosts will control the pace of this game and take their visitors out of their comfort zone. So far this season, Troy has been struggling to beat some tougher teams, needing overtime to beat Kent State and Furman, while finally losing on Friday to Loyola Marymount. Northridge got their butt kicked by Northern Iowa, so they already have some experience against a top 100 team. Plus, they are much more well rested.

CS-Northridge hasn’t played since Tuesday. They have been at home nearly all week preparing for this game. Troy also played a game on Tuesday, plus their loss to LMU was two days ago on Friday. After this, the Matadors don’t play again until November 26, while the Trojans have to turn around and face San Diego State on the road Tuesday and USC on Thursday, two top 50 teams.

Now, am I saying Troy is looking ahead? Maybe. Besides their win over a D-2 opponent at home, the Matadors are analytically the weakest team they’ve played. But they are in the middle of a West Coast tour. This will be their third game in just five days, and they have two more tough ones before they get to go home, totaling five games in just nine days. They’ve been living out of hotels, they aren’t well rested, and Northridge will turn this game into a track meet with their speed.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they win outright at home tonight.

Now, I originally looked at the over 170 in this game, but after learning it opened around 167.5 and had gotten to 171.5 by the time I went to press the button, I decided to hold off. So of course, get ready for 190 total points. Regardless, I see that leading to a Gator’s cover. Now, they struggled against Florida State, but you know that was the Seminole’s Super Bowl. You could argue Miami will approach this game the same way, and the Canes’ analytics look good, but could it be because they haven’t played anyone?

The Miami Hurricanes have beat Jacksonville (No. 256), Bethune-Cookman (No. 205), and Stetson (No. 361) so far this year. They’ve been very efficient on offense, and haven’t allowed more than 70 points in a game, but this is their wake up call. The Gators are still very good, they’ve already played two top 100 teams (one of whom is top five), and I expect Todd Golden to get his guys ready to go after their scare at home to FSU.
