The first week of NCAA Basketball action is over, and what a week it was. There were tons of entertaining games all across the country, from Kansas vs. North Carolina in a battle of the blue bloods on Friday Night, all the way through Sunday’s mid major contests. Now we are blessed with another fun week of College Hoops, so let’s get right into our favorite picks.
We had an extremely successful first week on the CBB betting board, let’s keep it going.
- NCAA Basketball YTD
- 12-3 (80%)
- +7.95u
This could potentially be the sell high spot, but I’m just going to keep attacking. We are 10-0 +9.21 units on CBB totals this season, and we’ve got another one geared up for today.

Best NCAA Basketball Picks and Predictions November 10
New Haven vs. UMass Lowell NCAA Basketball Picks

Austin Green had a double double for the River Hawks in his first game for Lowell
Best Bet: UMass Lowell -10.5 (-110) BetOnline
This is the ultimate bounce back spot for the River Hawks at home. They were just obliterated by the UConn Huskies in Storrs as they only put up 47 total points and lost by 63. Now they get to face the New Haven Chargers, who are playing their fourth division 1 basketball game of all time.
New Haven moved up to become the 365th team in College Hoops this season, and so far they are playing out of their minds. They lost to UConn, Columbia and Penn State, but were above average in every contest according to most advanced analytics. Now is the prefect time for them to come back down to Earth. Both teams played UConn already. New Haven had 67 possessions in their matchup, while the River Hawks sped up the Huskies for 75 total possessions. At home, UMass Lowell will speed this game up, forcing the Chargers to play at their speed, ensuring plenty of extra trips up and down the floor to cover this number. UMass ranks top 100 in terms of pace according to Bart Torvik and Haslametrics.
Every year, the River Hawks play a very tough schedule early on in the season, which makes them incredibly battle tested as it progresses. Playing high major programs makes dealing with the low major foes that much easier, and I see the River Hawks making easy work of the Chargers at home tonight. Look for them to give New Haven a “Welcome to Division 1” moment in Lowell.
Fairfield vs. Seton Hall NCAA Basketball Picks

Adam Clark transferred to Seton Hall and runs the Pirates offense this season
Best Bet: Fairfield/Seton Hall Under 135.5 (-110) BetOnline
Now, let’s start out with some transparency. I was able to snag this line Sunday evening at under 140.5, but I still think we are in a playable range. This game should only have 125 to 130 total points tops, likely ending closer to the 120 range. Regardless, it should stay under.
These teams are a combined 4-0 to the under so far this season, and none of the games have been particularly close. The Seton Hall Pirates are about as slow as it gets. In their two openers, Seton Hall only managed 60 and 65 possessions in each contest, with the Stags staying under 70 possessions in one of their two games as well. Fairfield ranks No. 227 in adjusted tempo in the country, while Seton Hall is No. 339, ranking in the bottom 30 in terms of pace in the entire nation.
Seton Hall’s two offensive strengths are getting to the free throw line, and grabbing offensive rebounds. However that might be more difficult today, as Fairfield comes into this game ranking in the top 100 in terms of defensive free throw rate, as well as in the top 15 in the nation in offensive rebounds allowed.
Get ready for a snails paced game to stay under with plenty of bad offense being played.
