After upsetting Kansas in the second round, Arkansas will look to take out another higher seed in the West Regional as they face UConn in a Sweet Sixteen showdown at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (7:15 pm ET, CBS).
The eighth-seeded Razorbacks (22-13) trailed #1 seed Kansas by ten in the second half but rallied for a 72-71 win, bouncing the defending national champions from the Big Dance.
Now they get to take on fourth-seeded UConn (27-8), who will be looking for a third straight double-digit win after a 24-point win over #13 seed Iona and a 15-point win over #5 seed Saint Mary’s.

Will Sanogo Continue to Make His Mark in March?
I’m certainly not about to dismiss Arkansas’ chances to send another power conference squad packing, especially after they took out a team that a lot of people had pegged to make a serious run at a repeat.
But they are certainly up against it tonight against a UConn team that has been dominant thus far in the NCAA Tournament.
Since the Huskies’ midseason blip in which they lost six of eight, they have been tough to beat. In their last 13 games, they are 11-2 SU and 10-3-0 ATS, with the only SU losses coming at Creighton by three and to Marquette by two in the Big East Tournament.
So, it’s going to take a serious effort to beat the Huskies tonight, especially if Adama Sanogo balls out again.
In the first round against Iona, Sanogo had 28 points and 13 rebounds in UConn’s 87-63 win. Saint Mary’s didn’t have an answer for him either, as he went for 24 points and eight rebounds in the Huskies’ 70-55 win.
Sanogo now has 11 20-point games this season, and the Huskies are a perfect 11-0 SU and ATS in those games. It’s worth noting that the over is also 7-4-0 in those games.
Will the Huskies Add to Their Spectacular Spread Success?
For the season, UConn has one of the best ATS records in college basketball. They are 23-11-1 ATS this season, including a 21-11-1 mark as a favorite.
If the Huskies cover tonight against Arkansas, they will take over the nation’s lead in ATS wins as a favorite, breaking their tie with Utah State, who finished their season 21-9-0 ATS as a favorite.
UConn (19-16-0) also has the fourth-best O/U mark of the teams in the Sweet Sixteen, behind Xavier (22-13-1), Gonzaga (20-14-0), and Princeton (16-13-0).
The over is only 1-5-0 in UConn’s last six games, but there’s a lot of value in backing them to go over their team total if you are backing them to get past Arkansas.
In the ten previous instances that the Huskies have scored fewer than 73 points this season, they have scored 73 or more points in the following game eight times. When UConn has scored 73 or more points this season, they are 20-4 SU and 18-6-0 ATS.
