Michigan and Nebraska both enter this matchup looking to bounce back from tough conference losses. The Wolverines have struggled on the road, while the Cornhuskers have been far more reliable at home. With Nebraska now shifting to a slight underdog, this game sets up as a prime spot for the home team to respond.

#12 Michigan vs Nebraska Best Bet
One of the biggest games on Monday’s slate—#12 Michigan at Nebraska. The Cornhuskers opened as a short favorite but have since moved to a slight home underdog. Michigan is coming off a tough Friday loss at home to in-state rival Michigan State, while Nebraska looks to bounce back from an embarrassing 16-point road loss to Penn State. Both teams are desperate to get back in the win column, but I lean toward the home team in this one. Let’s get into it.
Like many college teams, Nebraska thrives at home and struggles on the road. Ranked 166th in their home gym, they excel on both ends, particularly in perimeter defense, avoiding fouls, and free throw rate offense. Against top-50 teams this season, Nebraska has maintained a top-60 defense while keeping a top-130 offense.
Michigan has struggled away from home, ranking 251st per Haslametrics. They have also been brutal against the spread, going 1-9 in their last ten games. Their biggest issue on the road has been ball security—they rank 26th worst in turnovers, while Nebraska has been solid at forcing them. Whoever controls the turnover battle will most likely win tonight.
With how poorly Michigan has played over the past few weeks, Nebraska looks like the better side. I will take the team that just got embarrassed by one of the worst teams in the Big Ten.
