Tonight’s Best Player Props in the Association | NBA (11/17)

Nikola Jokic

Happy Monday. We’ve got eight NBA games on the docket, 16 teams in action and some great matchups across the league. Let’s jump right into my favorite props tonight.

For additional information on picks, props, money lines and more on today’s slate, take a look at our NBA Picks Page or our NBA Odds Page, here.

Kel’el Ware o23.5 P/R (-110) | BetOnline

Kel'el Ware

The Miami Heat are playing at the fastest pace in the NBA. The Heat rank #1 in pace this year, #1 in points for and 25th in points allowed. Most of the credit for this new offense can be attributed to Noah LaRoche. He was the mind behind last year’s free flowing Grizzlies’ offense.

Well it worked and the Heat are now averaging 125.3 points per game, with 19.2 points per game coming on the fast break (3rd). Kel’el Ware’s in his second year in the NBA and he’s become the team’s full time starting Center. He’s started 10 of the team’s 13 games, averaging 10.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game; all while averaging just 24 minutes per game.

With Bam Adebayo out of the lineup, the Heat have looked to Ware to fill the gap. In five games without Bam, he’s averaging 12.2 points and 12.0 rebounds per game; clearing this line in three of the five games. Ware’s also played 29.8 minutes per game with Bam sidelined, even playing 35 minutes in their Friday Night matchup withe New York.

The Heat have been inredibly soft on the glass this year. Miami’s 30th in opponent offensive rebound rate, 29th in opponent rebounds and they gave up 20 offensive rebounds in that Friday Night game. The Heat need to find a way to correct that and the most logical option looks like their second year seven footer.

Aaron Gordon o23.5 P/R (-110) | BetOnline

Aaron Gordon’s averaging 19.9 points per game this year, shooting 53.3% from the field and 47.4% from beyond the arc. He’s the Nuggets’ third leading scorer and often the benefactor of open looks at the rim, simply because he plays with Jokic.

Gordon’s only cleared this line in five of the team’s 11 games this year, but with so many new faces that’s to be expected. Gordon’s now cleared this line in four of his last six games, averaging 20.0 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game.

Denver will also be without Christian Braun tonight and could also be without Cam Johnson for the second straight game. Chicago’s playing at a top five pace this year but ranks bottom five in fast break points allowed and points allowed in the paint. Gordon does a ton of damage in the paint, as well as on the fast break.

Denver ranks top 10 in both points scored in the paint and on the fast break. Most of that comes from both Braun and Gordon. Look for Gordon to see an immediate increase in opportunities in transition and in the paint tonight.

Ivica Zubac o27.5 P/R (-110) | BetOnline

Ivica Zubac

The Clippers have been decimated by injuries this year and it doesn’t look like it’s getting any better. Bradley Beal’s out for the season as he undergoes hip surgery, Kawhi Leonard’s out with foot/ankle issues and Derrick Jones Jr. was seen leaving their game last night on crutches.

Los Angeles is on the 2nd night of a back to back, on the east coast and rolling into Philadelphia to face Tyrese Maxey and the Sixers. Philadelphia will be without Joel Embiid but could see Paul George make his season debut. Philly ranks 20th in opponent offensive rebounds but 25th in opponent second chance points.

Without Joel in the lineup their rebounding has been inconsistent and it’s left them no ability to protect the paint. Zubac leads the Clippers in both points in the paint and second chance points. He’s averaging 3.2 offensive rebounds per game and tonight if the Sixers can’t keep him off the glass, it could be a long night.
