Tonight’s Best Player Props in the Association | NBA (11/12)

Austin Reaves Luka Dončić

The NBA is back in full swing and to prove it, we’ve got a full slate of games with an even longer list of players sitting out. With 24 teams in action today we’ve got a lot to talk about, let’s jump right into my favorite props tonight.

For additional information on picks, props, money lines and more on today’s slate, take a look at our NBA Picks Page or our NBA Odds Page, here.

Jarrett Allen o27.5 P/R (+100)

Jarrett Allen

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without Evan Mobley, Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland and Jaylon Tyson tonight. This will be the team’s second straight game in Miami, losing the first by just two points in a high scoring affair (140-138). Allen’s played just 24 games without Mobley since coming to Cleveland and he’s had some big games; averaging 19.3 points and 12.2 rebounds per game.

Going back to last year, Allen’s played 12 games without Mobley; clearing this line in 7 of the 12. He’s played 25+ minutes in just nine of those games, averaging 31.6 combined points/rebounds.

In their prior matchup on Monday we saw Allen play just 21 minutes, finish with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Miami’s pace kind of saw Allen sitting on the bench for longer than expected but tonight with Mobley and everyone out, the Cavaliers can’t afford to do that.

Miami ranks 30th in second chance points allowed (19.5) and 20th in points allowed in the paint (51.6). In their last three games without Bam Adebayo, those numbers have ballooned to 57.3 points allowed in the paint per game and 25.3 second chance points per game. Allen leads the Cavaliers with 10.9 points per game in the paint and is the team’s second leading rebounder.

The Heat rank 29th in opponent rebounds, 27th in opponent offensive rebound rate and their pace of play alone should provide enough opportunity for Allen to clear this line.

Jrue Holiday o28.5 PRA (-120)

Jrue

Holiday is thriving in Portland.

The 35 year old point guard’s averaging 17.0 points, 8.1 assists and 5.5 rebound per game this year. He leads the Blazers in assists and has started all 10 games for Portland. Today he returns to a to a City where he’s spent a majority of his NBA Career, New Orleans. Holiday played seven years for the Pelicans and even helped lead this team to the playoffs in 2018.

He averaged 19/6 that year and started 81 of the team’s 82 games. Jrue’s got history in this building and against this year, but the last two times they’ve faced off he hasn’t been 100% healthy and hasn’t seen the same usage he’s seeing now. Holiday is the Trailblazers’ lead PG and it’s lead to a 21.3% usage rate, recording 19% of the team’s points and over 40% of the team’s assists.

He’s done a great job of attacking the glass this year and with Portland’s propensity to go small I love this spot.

Austin Reaves o31.5 PRA (-113)

Take a look at our expert NBA best bets and player props for Wednesday, October 29, with a massive 10-game slate.

Austin Reaves has been great this year. He’s averaging 30.3 points per game, 9.0 assists and 5.1 rebounds. He’s shooting 48% from the field and has become the Laker’s bonafide #2. He’s averaging career highs across the board and it’s why the Lakers are out to one of their best starts since he was drafted.

Little bit of narrative to add, Reaves played his college ball here in Oklahoma. He grew up in Arkansas, played at Oklahoma and doesn’t get to return to the area as often as he’d probably like.

In his last game here, Reaves finished with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists. He’s yet to play a game in Oklahoma City with the kind of usage he’s seen this year. Reaves is seeing a 29.7% usage rate this year, highest of his career. He’s scoring 331.8% of the team’s points and accounting for 41.4% of the team’s assists.

He’s been great  and being back in Oklahoma has to mean just a little bit more.
