We’re coming off an incredible 6-0 showing on Monday night and looking for more of the same with tonight’s NBA slate.

That brings us to a season record of 53-34, up +14.77 units on the year. I’ve got six more plays to sweat out for tonight’s action, so let’s dig into my NBA prop bets for Wednesday, December 3rd.

NBA Prop Bets for Wednesday, December 3rd

Kevin Durant Under 9.5 Rebounds + Assists (-130)

Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets are an insane 15.5-point favorite at home tonight against the Sacramento Kings. If this game plays to the spread, we’re likely not getting heavy minutes from an aging veteran like Durant. Not only should his playing time dip, but there’s also little reason for him to contribute in ways outside of scoring. He’s not going to go the extra mile to crash the glass in a game that should be a breeze.

Plus, he’s averaging just 5.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game on the season – so why is there a bump in his rebounds + assists prop tonight? I’ll gladly take the under on this Durant prop bet.

Donovan Clingan Under 10.5 Points (-108)

Let’s move to Cleveland, where the Cavs play host to the Portland Trail Blazers tonight.

Portland is on the second leg of a back-to-back after a 121–118 loss in Toronto on Tuesday night. That’s a tough turnaround – going from a tight loss against what’s becoming a respectable Raptors team to immediately facing one of the better defenses in the league in Cleveland.

The Cavs rank 10th in defensive points allowed per 100 possessions and 14th in effective field goal percentage. Where they excel most is around the rim, sitting fifth in opponent field goal percentage in that area (63.9%).

Meanwhile, 55% of Clingan’s shots come at the rim, and he’s averaging just 10 points per game. Why should we expect him to eclipse that average against one of the league’s best rim-protecting defenses?

Deni Avdija Under 7.5 Assists (-135)

Let’s stick in this same game and target Deni Avdija to stay under 7.5 assists tonight.

Avdija is averaging just six per game, but he’s racked up 14, 10, and eight in his last three contests. I expect those numbers to dip tonight. As I mentioned, Portland is on the second-leg of a back-to-back and facing a very respectable defense – all factors that should hinder the Blazers’ offensive production.

I’m not buying into the recency bias of his last three outings and expecting him to clear this mark again. I’m selling high on Avdija’s dimes tonight.

D’Aaron Fox Under 36.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-123)

Another team on the second leg of a back-to-back is the San Antonio Spurs. Last night, the Spurs beat the Grizzlies 126–119 at home, and now they have a quick turnaround as they travel to Orlando to face the Magic.

Orlando’s defense is slowly rounding back into the form we saw last season. They’ve climbed to 11th in defensive points per possession allowed and give up the second-fewest three-point attempts in the league (34.2%).

De’Aaron Fox could be in for a tougher night. I still expect him to score efficiently, but I don’t think he’ll do enough in the rebounding and assisting departments to get over this number. The Magic allow the third-fewest assists per game (24.1) and rank sixth in rebound percentage (52.1%).

Fox is coming off a 29-point showing last night, but he should have some weary legs against a rested, physical Magic defense. He’s averaging 24.5 points, 6.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game this season – which, even rounded up, still puts him below this PRA mark for Wednesday night.

I don’t expect him to play above his means in this matchup. Take the under.

Myles Turner Under 2.5 3-Pointers (-130)

Let’s move to the Milwaukee Bucks–Detroit Pistons matchup to conclude our player props.

Myles Turner is known for his ability to knock down triples as a big man, but I expect him to struggle from deep this evening. He’s averaging just two made threes per game and now faces a Pistons defense that ranks second in Pts/Poss and fourth in eFG% allowed.

Yes, Detroit is middle of the pack when it comes to defending the three – 15th in opponent 3pt FG% (36.2%) – but overall I’m expecting Milwaukee’s offense to be in a tough spot.

So not only do I foresee Turner being limited from downtown, but also…

Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 6.5 Assists (-135)

I expect the Greek Freak to stay below 6.5 assists. Giannis is averaging 6.4 per game, but he’s stayed under this mark in eight of his last 11 contests. His season average is also inflated by an outlier performance in November against the Hornets, when he piled up 18 dimes.

Given the Pistons’ ferocious defensive presence, this should limit the Bucks’ overall scoring output – and Antetokounmpo’s ability to facilitate efficiently. And for the cherry on top, Detroit allows the fewest assists per game in the Association at just 23.2.
