Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Odds: Greek Freak on the Move?

Giannis stressed with head in hands. The Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade 2025 Betting News BetOnline Odds Article. Read More!

Giannis Antetokounmpo will most likely be traded this offseason after the Bucks failed to surround the MVP candidate with a supporting cast worthy of his talents. They made acquisitions at the deadline that fell well short of expectations. The Bucks were eliminated in the first round.

Now they lack draft capital, cap space, and moveable prospects to move back into title contention realistically. The next move here is to maximize your gains in a potential NBA zeitgeist changing transaction. Giannis Antetokounmpo may have played his last basketball game as a Milwaukee Buck.

Below are the odds for his landing spots. Let’s not bury the lead: If you were going to bet this then it is the San Antonio Spurs (+250)!

Giannis Antetokounmpo BetOnline Trade Odds

Giannis stressed with head in hands. The Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade 2025 Betting News BetOnline Odds Article.

Giannis has been loyal to Milwaukee but his time there is now done.

Full transparency, I have not placed a wager on this market as of time of writing. However, after breaking down all the possibilities, I really do believe Giannis is now on the move. With Damian Lillard’s injury, advanced age, and max contract — this has become more than likely. Giannis can’t wait around for him to get healthy. Moreover, the Milwaukee Bucks have zero leverage or maneuverability to improve.

The True Giannis Trade Contenders

Toronto Raptors (+175)

Giannis has expressed admiration for the franchise before and this is one of the only teams that could make the trade and possibly contend. If you center the trade around Scottie Barnes and Grady Dick, then there is a chance. Sprinkle in some unprotected firsts as well as anyone else the Bucks would want. A starting lineup of Quickly, Barrett, Ingram, Antetokounmpo, and Poeltl would do damage in the East.

They would have to add shooting, but Masai Ujiri would likely have a contending team once again. Giannis and Ujiri are both proud Africans that have travelled the world to make their basketball dreams come true. Who is to say they can’t lift Larry together too?

San Antonio Spurs (+250)

Picks, players, and potential. Milwaukee could get all of that in return in a trade with the Spurs. Conversely, San Antonio gets an instant contender. Victor Wembanyama is a 7’5″ shooting guard. Giannis would have plenty of room to operate in the post as the feature big man.

Additionally, Castle and Fox would ensure the tempo is fast. You just have to sign some shooters and depth then look out. San Antonio is undoubtedly an exciting and very real possibility. Their trajectory would be fast tracked with this trade. Duncan and Robinson 2.0, maybe? Then Wemby gets his own Manu Ginobli and Tony Parker later.

It writes itself.

Memphis Grizzlies (+450)

Memphis needs change. They made some when they fired their coach in the waning days of the season. Now without Taylor Jenkins, they must make more changes.

They have a plethora of assets that includes both promising prospects and big men with lucrative potential. They could offer Zach Edey or even Jaren Jackson Jr. and whoever remains could pair with Antetokounmpo. The question becomes, does Giannis (a quiet family man) really want to go to Memphis and play with Ja Morant? Probably not.

Houston Rockets (+550)

Houston feels like a good landing spot for Giannis. He could help this team reach a new level. With him in the fold next to Sengun and Amen Thompson, this team could liftoff.

They have plenty of young players to dangle; Reed Sheppard, Cam Whitmore, and Jabari Smith Jr. Furthermore, they have draft picks and cap space. The Houston Rockets have impressive flexibility this offseason. This is a real possibility.

Dallas Mavericks (+1000)

This one is interesting too. Daniel Gafford, Derrick Lively, and Max Christie are all young assets and they have the first overall pick. They could put together several different packages.

Milwaukee could decide on a full rebuild or a quick turnaround to playoff contention if they trade with Dallas. Giannis and Anthony Davis as your frontcourt and Kyrie and Klay in the backcourt? That sells tickets. I don’t know if it wins a championship.

However, Cooper Flagg for Giannis Antetokounmpo straight-up?

Cleveland Cavaliers (+1200)

The Cavs are another team that could put together several packages. They could dangle a pairing of Garland and Jarrett Allen, two proven All-Stars, and sell the Bucks on winning now.

Conversely, they could offer just Evan Mobley and draft capital. Giannis would likely be easily convinced to play in Cleveland as he has already said markets do not matter in this era.

Boston Celtics (+1400)

Hear. Me. Out. Flip Jrue Holiday and KP to contenders and fill up on draft picks. Then you send a godfather offer to the Bucks that includes Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, and every single available draft pick you have in the coffer.

Stranger things have happened. Giannis, Tatum, and Jaylen Brown…Vsauce is salivating somewhere.

New Orleans Pelicans (+1400)

Honestly, I am flabbergasted they are this high. Their recently drafted first overall pick has reached an entire new level of problematic. These odds are seriously insane.

Brooklyn Nets (+2000)

They have all the future assets that the Bucks would want. They have picks, young players, and could even absorb a bad contract in the deal. The real detractor here is Giannis would likely be starting from scratch as the lone superstar on an uncertain roster.

Giannis turns 31-years-old during next season. He likely does not have the patience, otherwise why not just stay put in green?

Giannis Antetokounmpo making a funny face during a game. The Sad Pretenders that can only hope to trade for him.

These teams can only hope for Giannis.

The Sad Trade Pretenders

This collection of franchises either have the means or the market to acquire Giannis. However, for a myriad of reasons it is unlikely any of these teams acquire the Greek phenom. For example, the Thunder have an embarrassment of riches but likely don’t want to ruin the locker room chemistry. Plus, they are in the Finals.

The Warriors would love Giannis and the fit is there, but they fall short in terms of long term assets that would entice Milwaukee. The Lakers are the Lakers. Conclusively, these teams are pretenders but they’ve got plenty of reasons to pretend.

The one team to keep an eye on here is the Heat. They’ve been known to make splashes with Shaq, LeBron, Chris Bosh, Kevin Love, and maybe now with Giannis. Pat Riley has faced immense scrutiny lately in the media. Does the NBA legend have one last masterstroke in him? Giannis Antetokounmpo is known to want to be around great basketball minds. Undisputedly, Riley and Spoelstra are.

Here is how the second tier of Giannis Antetokounmpo suitors breaks down:
