Shane van Gisbergen had a wonderful weekend in the Windy City, sweeping the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Cup Series races in Chicago last weekend. This weekend, he is aiming to do the same at Sonoma Raceway, starting with this afternoon’s Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250 (4:30 pm ET, The CW).
Will SVG and Connor Zilisch outclass the field as they did last Saturday? Read on for Sonoma Xfinity race predictions and picks.
Bet on NASCAR Odds at BetOnline and Bovada
If you like to bet on NASCAR odds each week, look no further than BetOnline and Bovada.
Both of these sites offer odds on NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series races, and you can also find series championship odds at both sites.
Why do we recommend both books instead of just one? Line shopping is a valuable part of successful sports betting, and one book may have a better number for one driver, while the other book may have a better number for another driver, so both can be useful on race day.
Additionally, line movement may occur at different times at different books. Therefore, you may get a more favorable line at one book over the other depending on the timing. Use these books in a cooperative manner to maximize your value and chances of success with NASCAR betting.
If you would like to learn more about these sports betting sites and the sportsbook bonuses you can get at them to bet on the Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250 and other NASCAR races, we have in-depth sportsbook reviews for each of them and several other top online sportsbooks.

Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250 Predictions and Picks
Sam Mayer to finish in the top five (-110 at Bovada)
After winning four races in 2023 and three last season, Mayer has yet to record his first win as a Haas Factory Team driver. But he is third in points and has put together a strong campaign to date with eight top-five finishes and 11 top-10 finishes in 18 races.
Mayer will start third in the Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250, and if someone other than SVG or Zilisch wins, he’s the most likely option, as four of his seven career Xfinity Series wins are on road courses. Even if he comes up short of the victory, expect him to be near the front.
Austin Hill to finish in the top five (+160 at Bovada)
Only one driver has finished in the top five in all three road/street races this season. That would be Hill, who finished fourth at Circuit of the Americas, third in Mexico City, and fourth in Chicago.
Last Saturday’s result was his ninth top five and 12th top ten of the season, and he should add to those numbers at Sonoma, where he finished eighth in 2023 and fifth in 2024.
