After having the last two weekends off, the NASCAR Xfinity Series is back in action this weekend with one of the biggest races of the season, the BetMGM 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (4:30 pm ET, The CW).
Bet on NASCAR Odds at BetOnline and Bovada
If you like to bet on NASCAR odds each week, look no further than BetOnline and Bovada.
Both of these sites offer odds on NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series races, and you can also find series championship odds at both sites.
Why do we recommend both books instead of just one? Line shopping is a valuable part of successful sports betting, and one book may have a better number for one driver, while the other book may have a better number for another driver, so both can be useful on race day.
Additionally, line movement may occur at different times at different books. Therefore, you may get a more favorable line at one book over the other depending on the timing. Use these books in a cooperative manner to maximize your value and chances of success with NASCAR betting.
If you would like to learn more about these sports betting sites and the sportsbook bonuses you can get at them to bet on the BetMGM 300 and other NASCAR races, we have in-depth sportsbook reviews for each of them and several other top online sportsbooks.
HMS Looks for Consecutive Charlotte Wins
Today’s race is an appetizer for tomorrow’s Cup Series entrée, the Coca-Cola 600 (6:00 pm ET, Amazon Prime Video), and it will feature a few of the drivers who will be taking 400 laps around the track tomorrow evening.
In last year’s BetMGM 300, Chase Elliott drove the Hendrick Motorsports #17 car to victory, the first for a Hendrick Motorsports car in an Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway since the late Tim Richmond’s win in the 1986 Winn Dixie 300.
This time around, Willim Byron will be piloting the #17 for his second Xfinity Series start this year. In addition to Byron, Cup Series regulars Chase Briscoe and Austin Dillon will take part in this afternoon’s race.

BetMGM 300 Predictions and Picks
Sam Mayer to finish in the BetMGM 300 top five (+160 at Bovada)
Mayer, who enters the BetMGM 300 third in the Xfinity Series standings, has yet to win in his first season with the Haas Factory Team but has six top-five finishes and an average finish of 10.8.
In his Xfinity Series career, the 21-year-old has two top-five finishes in three races on the Charlotte oval, a third-place finish in 2022 and a fourth-place finish last year. Look for him to have another strong showing today and produce a seventh top five of the season.
Sammy Smith to finish in the top five (+220 at Bovada)
In the two races following his win at Rockingham, Smith finished 31st at Talladega and 18th at Texas Motor Speedway. Those are disappointing results, but he will resume the season with a solid result at Charlotte, where he finished tenth in 2023 with Joe Gibbs Racing and third last year in his first season with JR Motorsports.
Taylor Gray to finish in the top ten (+120 at Bovada)
Last time out, Gray posted the best finish of his rookie season in the Xfinity Series, coming in second behind Kyle Larson in the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.
It was his third top five and fifth top-ten finish of the season to date, and it should give him some serious confidence moving forward as he attempts to make the playoffs this season. Consistently finishing well is now the key, and after coming in fifth, 11th, and second in his last three races, you have to like where things are headed for the 20-year-old.
Harrison Burton to finish in the top ten (+350 at Bovada)
As long as Burton continues to defy the expectations of oddsmakers, he will be mentioned here, because the value continues to be far, far too good to overlook.
A sixth-place finish at Texas was his sixth top-ten finish of the season and his third in a row, and a fourth straight beckons in the BetMGM 300. We will see how long this run persists for Burton, but when he a) has something to prove this season after his release in the Cup Series and b) has a wealth of experience at many of these tracks relative to many of his Xfinity Series peers despite still being only 24, he warrants consideration while he is producing the results to back it up.
