After the NASCAR In-Season Challenge bracket was decimated at Atlanta Motor Speedway, there was much less chaos last weekend in Chicago.
Still, some big names were sent packing, including Chase Elliott, while No. 32 seed Ty Dillon stayed out of trouble and moved on to the quarterfinals.
Today, the bracket will be trimmed to four in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. Below, find the bracket and matchups for the Round of 8, as well as In-Season Challenge futures from one of the top online sportsbooks.
Bet on NASCAR In-Season Challenge Odds at BetOnline and Bovada
If you like to bet on NASCAR odds each week, look no further than BetOnline and Bovada.
Both of these sites offer odds on NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series races, and you can also find series championship odds at both sites.
Why do we recommend both books instead of just one? Line shopping is a valuable part of successful sports betting, and one book may have a better number for one driver, while the other book may have a better number for another driver, so both can be useful on race day.
Additionally, line movement may occur at different times at different books. Therefore, you may get a more favorable line at one book over the other depending on the timing. Use these books in a cooperative manner to maximize your value and chances of success with NASCAR betting.
If you would like to learn more about these sports betting sites and the sportsbook bonuses you can get at them to bet on the Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250 and other NASCAR races, we have in-depth sportsbook reviews for each of them and several other top online sportsbooks.

NASCAR In-Season Challenge Bracket and Matchups for Sonoma

#32 Ty Dillon (+230) vs. #8 Alex Bowman (-290)
Dillon is 32nd in the standings, and he is the 32nd seed in the In-Season Challenge, but he has reached the Round of 8 by avoiding the disaster that befell his first two opponents, Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski, both of whom suffered early DNFs.
Will Lady Luck continue to cast her eyes on him in Sonoma? Bowman, who will start eighth, has finished fourth, 11th, third, and eighth in his last four races and is the only driver to finish in the top ten in the first three NASCAR Cup Series road/street races this season, so the forecast does not look promising for Dillon, who will start 26th and finished 28th, 33rd, and 20th in the Circuit of the Americas, Mexico City, and Chicago races.
#12 John Hunter Nemechek (-150) vs. #20 Erik Jones (+120)
In Chicago, Nemechek pulled a big upset as he (15th) edged Chase Elliott (16th), who had finished outside of the top 15 just three times in the first 18 races this season.
He’s up against Jones, who didn’t have an outstanding day in Chicago but finished six spots ahead of Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Both of these drivers are fighting for a place in the NASCAR Cup Series championship playoffs, with Jones sitting 17th and Nemechek 20th with seven races remaining, so this is a big race for both drivers with both the In-Season Challenge and the playoff picture in mind.
#15 Ryan Preece (+170) vs. #23 Tyler Reddick (-210)
Reddick is the In-Season Challenge favorite heading into the Sonoma race, both because he is the biggest name left in the bracket and because he is in the best form of the eight remaining drivers.
While many big names met with misfortune in the Atlanta or Chicago races, Reddick finished fourth in the Quaker State 400 and third in the Grant Park 165, sending Kyle Larson and Carson Hocevar packing.
The No. 45 is a firm favorite against Preece, who recorded just his second career top-ten finish on a road/street course last Sunday to advance past Noah Gragson. Preece, who is currently two points out of the last playoff spot, has five top-ten finishes in his last eight races overall, but he might need to find his second top-five finish of the season to have a shot to knock out Reddick.
#6 Ty Gibbs (-300) vs. #14 Zane Smith (+240)
It might be too little, too late for Gibbs to squeeze his way into the playoffs, unless he can finally get his first NASCAR Cup Series win in one of the next seven races. However, his recent run of form could at least manage to bag him $1 million.
Gibbs had just two top-15 finishes in the first 14 races this season, but he has finished in the top 15 in each of the last five races, including a season-high second last Sunday.
Gibbs has five top-five finishes and seven top-10 finishes on road/street courses thus far in his Cup Series career and is a potential contender for the win at Sonoma, so his odds here are no surprise. Smith did finish fifth at Watkins Glen last year, but he’s up against it in this matchup.
