After kind of a wacky weigh in day, all bouts were made official and UFC Vegas 108 is set to kick off tonight! The UFC saw 2 weight misses both being over 4 lbs, both fighters were fined and the bouts will continue as normal.

Hyun Sung Park is showing a bit of his character by accepting this fight on just 6 days notice. The bout will be just his 4th fight under the UFC banner, while only being 10-0 overall as a fighter.
Taking a massive step up in competition, there is no doubt this will be the toughest fight of his career. It is very hard to turn down a main event opportunity, especially one with an opportunity to catapult himself in the flyweight rankings.
Park is fighting out of of Team MMA Story in South Korea. The long flight from Korea along with short notice weight cut could provide some issues for the young prospect.

Making a splash on the scene, Park won the season 1 Road To The UFC tournament. In the early stages of the tournament he impressed by finishing his opponents in both bouts.
Primarily a grappler, Park has had flashes of greatness in his young career. Collecting 3 straight wins under the UFC banner, all by finish he has impressed many MMA fans in his short stint.
On this run he has proven to be a very opportunistic and dangerous fighter with an 80% finish rate. Collecting most of his wins by submission, he has also shown the power in his hands with 2 knock out victories under the UFC banner.
As expecting with his submission skills, Park is a great wrestler despite his poor statistics in the UFC. Only sporting a 33% takedown accuracy, while averaging 2 attempts per 15 minutes.
His takedown defense shines through though as his opponents have a tough time getting him to the matt. Park sports a 100% takedown defense by never being taken down in the UFC, defending 6 take down attempts.
With how young Park is in his career, it is hard to say if he has bit off more then he can chew in this Main Event spot. It will be a great opportunity to show off his skillset against a very tough opponent in Taira.

Tatsuro Taira is a very talented prospect out of Japan. Starting his career in the UFC with a massive amount of hype, he has proven to carry the star power required to position himself in a Main Event spot.
Making his debut 3 years ago at just 22 years old, Taira has grown as a fighter under the UFC banner. Starting so young, he has shown flashes of greatness that will keep him at the top of the division for years to come.
Proving to do whatever it takes to collect a win, Taira has won his 6 UFC fights very evenly. Taira has 2 decision, KO, & Submission wins in his time with the promotion showing his versatility in MMA.
All though Taira does prefer to grapple in most bouts. His grappling prowess is top notch, with good wrestling to get his opponents to the matt & top level BJJ ability to be able to finish the fight once it gets there.
In a few impressive showings under the UFC banner, Taira has slowly climbed the ladder. This will be his 3rd Main Event spot in his short 7 fight career under the UFC banner.
The Main Event history of Taira shows his stardom while also shining light on just how good he is as a fighter. It will only be a matter of time before Taira is a superstar in the UFC in my opinion.
Taira received a big slice of humble pie in his last bout, receiving the first loss in his 16 fight career. In the close decision loss, he showed holes in his striking game which ultimately made the judges side with Royval on the score cards.
Will Taira Find His Way Back Into The Win Column?
Because Taira is so young and so skilled, I expect him to make huge improvements in that area of his game. He also has a leg up on his opponent Park in this match up , as Taira was already preparing to fight on this date.
I believe this will be a very grapple heavy match up that could burn a lot of minutes through out the rounds. As well as not being able to fully game plan and feeling each other out in the early rounds.
The money line prices in this match up are a little inflated, and I believe bettors should focus on the total as there is more value there.

In a violent match up between ATT teammates Chris Duncan will square off with Mateusz Rebecki in the Co Main Event of UFC Vegas 108. In a rare instance of teammates fighting each other, it is hard t0 pass up a Co – Main Event spot.
Chris Duncan is fighting out of Scotland with a very exciting style. Often brawling it out with his opponents, he has made a splash since joining the UFC in 2023.
In his short 5 fight stint with the promotion, he has collected 4 impressive wins. Including back to back come back submissions, where he was hurt early but rallied back for the win.
Duncan has shown his greatest weakness time and time again in these fights, his chin. Despite that, he always over comes adversity battling back to take his opponents into deep waters.
Some would say, Chris Duncan has that dog in him & I tend to agree. All though I do believe his striking defense and weak chin will eventually prove to be a problem in his career.

Will Rebecki Roll His Momentum Into Another Win At UFC Vegas 108?
Mateusz Rebecki has shown great promise in his UFC tenure. Dominating his first 3 wins in the promotion before receiving his first loss by KO.
Even in his first loss, he had great success in the fight while winning the first 2 rounds. The skill is not in question and I believe he just ran out of gas leading to the finish loss.
The grappling ability is the highlight of his game. Amassing some impressive stats in his UFC career, averaging over 5 takedowns per fight while having a 100% takedown defense rating.
Striking is not a downside to his game either, Rebecki has massive power in his hands and has 9 knockout victories in his career. Including an impressive knockout over Loik Radzhabov in 2023.
Rebecki often has to get into the pocket to find success in striking because of his height & reach. Thus far he has not had any problem doing that, proving his chin while throwing wild power punches.
Coming off a huge win and fight of the year candidate, I expect Rebecki to continue his momentum here. I believe he will have no problem taking Duncan down & if it is a striking battle for 15 mins, I trust Rebecki’s chin to outlast the power of Duncan to eventually find the finish here.
