Just days away from one of the most anticipated World Series matchups in years—New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers. Aaron Judge squares off against Shohei Ohtani in what promises to be a showdown between two of the most storied franchises in sports. This could be one of the best Fall Classics in recent memory, making it the perfect time to explore the total games market for this series.
Where is the value?
The total games line is set at 5.5, with the over juiced to -190 on BetOnline—an understandable position given how evenly matched these teams are. It’s hard to envision this series being decided in fewer than six games, which is why the exact number of games is a compelling option.
BetOnline offers six or seven games at +195 each, providing better value than paying the juice on over 5.5 games. With both teams’ strengths and flaws on display, this series has all the makings of a long, competitive battle.
Teams’ Flaws
The Dodgers’ starting rotation presents a major concern. Despite shutting out the Mets twice in the NLCS, their most inconsistent pitchers, Walker Buehler and Jack Flaherty, came to the rescue. Both have ERAs north of 6.00 this postseason and are prone to giving up hard contact—a weakness the Yankees’ offense will likely exploit. If the Yankees get multiple looks at these starters, expect them to take advantage. Just look at how the Mets feasted on Flaherty in his second NLCS appearance, roughing him up for eight runs on eight hits in just three innings after he had dominated them in Game 1.

On the Yankees’ side, the rotation has been less than perfect, with the bullpen carrying much of the load. Outside of Gerrit Cole, the starters have been unreliable. Carlos Rodón, though inconsistent, showed signs of dominance with a 4.40 ERA this postseason. He improved in the ALCS, limiting the Guardians to just three runs over 10.2 innings.
Leans
In the end, this series will hinge on which team’s pitching holds up better. Given how evenly matched the Yankees and Dodgers are, betting on the series to last six or seven games at almost 2/1 offers solid value.
No matter which team you’re rooting for, this World Series is shaping up to be a must-watch for all baseball fans.
Leans: Series to go 6 or 7 Games both priced at (+195) on BetOnline
