Pitcher Report | June 3rd

Yak City
First, I hope the sheets are helping you as much as making them have helped me. Let’s jump right into today’s stand out matchup, Chase Dollander for the Colorado Rockies. Dollander will take the mound for the Rockies and he has struggled this year. He’s got a 6.82 ERA, allowing 2.4 HR/9 and 8.8 hits/9.
Next it’s Bowden Francis for the Toronto Blue Jays. He’s got a 5.37 ERA and allowing opposing hitters to hit .271. His 2.5 HR/9 is the worst amongst all Blue Jays pitchers and tonight he faces the loaded lineup of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Bowden’s got 1 start against the Phillies in his career, giving up 6 hits, 3 ER and 2 HR. He’s allowed Schwarber and Harper to both send it over the fence and tonight at the Rogers Centre, it’s looking like another prime spot to fade Bowden.

Weather Man, Weather Man
Today’s weather is impeccable, starting in Cincinnati where winds are blowing and low air pressure should help the ball fly just a little further. The pitching matchup with Peralta and Greene on the mound is tough, but both lineups have some great hitters with some great hitting conditions today.
Next up is Rate Field in Chicago. Strong winds blowing toward left field coupled with the smallest outfield in the big leagues; sign me up. Carpenter hit 3 HR yesterday and crazy as it sounds, I think he could be do for another big night.
Bowden Francis for the Blue Jays has had a tough year and today with wind blowing out towards right field at the Rogers Centre; it doesn’t look to be getting any easier. Francis has a 6.43 ERA at home this year and has given up 11 of his 15 HR in Toronto.
Lastly, as it’s related to weather; the Yankees are back in the Bronx and the weather couldn’t be any better. The Guardians are in town and Tanner Bibbee has struggled on the road this year. He’s got a 5.13 ERA away from Cleveland this year, giving up 9 of his 12 HR on the road.
Give me yaks or give me death.
Our Best Bets on the Diamond for Tuesday, June 3rd.
Kerry Carpenter o1.5 Total Bases (+105 via BetOnline)

Barry Carpenter, a fitting nickname for the 4th year outfielder. Carpenter’s on track to have his best season yet, batting .276 with 13 HR, 27 RBI and 35 runs scored through just 56-games. He’s having a career year and the Detroit Tigers look like one of the best teams in baseball.
Yes, that wasn’t a typo the Detroit Tigers are 40-21 and the #1 team in the AL West. His 13 HR this year sit 2nd among the Tigers and he’s currently tied for 1st in runs scored. Last night Carpenter recorded 3 HR in a single game and looked unstoppable at Rate Field.
We’re going right back to him today, in a little bit of a tougher matchup. Shane Smith has been good for the White Sox this year, recording a 2.68 ERA and allowing just 4 HR so far in his rookie year.
Tonight he faces the red hot lineup of the Detroit Tigers and he does it in great hitting conditions. Carpenter is batting .292 against righties this year, with 11 of his 13 HR coming against right-handed pitchers. In 13 career games at Rate Field, Carpenter is batting .367 with 4 HR and 7 XBH.
Bonus: Kerry Carpenter Home Run (+320)
Francisco Lindor o1.5 Total Bases (+106 via BetOnline)

Francisco Lindor is on an absolute heater. He leads the Mets in hits, runs scored, HR and sits 2nd in RBI. Lindor’s abtting .285 this year and his 14 HR are no surprise if you’ve been watching. The Mets are currently 36-22, 1st in the NL East and just took Game 1 of this series with the Dodgers.
Lindor got 1 over the fence last night and tonight with great weather conditions, don’t be surprised if he does it again.
Bonus: Francisco Lindor Home Run (+390)
