MLB Pitcher Report | June 11

Yak City – Best MLB Pitchers to Target
Today’s pitcher matchups look great. We’ve got Zach Eflin, Walker Buehler, and JP Sears all taking the mound, with all three allowing 2 HR/9 this season. Let’s start by talking about Buehler in his first season with the Red Sox. Buehler’s struggled since coming over to the East Coast, posting a 5.18 ERA and allowing opposing hitters to hit .278. He’s allowing lefties to hit .318 this year and this Rays lineup is chalked full of great left-handed bats.
Talking about pitchers struggling in new situations, let’s talk about Zach Eflin. Eflin’s been bad in his first year with the Orioles, posting a 4.47 ERA and allowing opposing hitters to hit .260. His 2 HR/9 presents a great matchup, with eight of the 10 HR he’s allowed being to left-handed hitters.
Lastly, JP Sears has been bad this year. Sears’ 5.21 ERA is ugly, but it gets worse. He’s allowing opposing hitters to hit .269 and he’s giving up 2 HR/9 innings. A few of these guys for the Angels have great history against Sears and today at Angel Stadium it should be more of the same.

Weather Man, Weather Man – MLB Ballparks to Target
Summertime at Coors Field, need I say more. Conditions in the Mile High City are immaculate with strong winds blowing out toward center field, low air pressure, and Kyle Freeland on the mound. Both teams scored 11 combined runs yesterday and today’s conditions look just as good.
Elsewhere in the league, the Phillies and Cubs will play Game 2 of their three-game series, with winds blowing at Citizens Bank Park. Another park with low air pressure today and strong winds is Angel Stadium in Anaheim. With both Sears and Hendricks taking the mound, look for some of these hitters to send the ball flying today.
Camden Yards is one of the most hitter-friendly parks in the league and Zach Eflin will start for the Orioles. Eflin’s struggles this year are well documented, but it’s the Tigers offense that intrigues me in this park. Both Carpenter and Tork have great history against Eflin and have been crushing the ball as of late. With high temperatures and light winds blowing toward right field, I like my chances with this Detroit offense.
Our Best MLB Bets on the Diamond for Wednesday, June 11
Zach Neto o1.5 Total Bases (-120 via BetOnline)

Two hitters from the same game. The weather conditions combined with the pitching matchups are just too good to pass up. JP Sears has been bad this year and he’s struggled against this Angels lineup in his career. Neto’s hit two HR against Sears in his career, going 5/10 overall, with three singles.
Neto’s struggled against left-handed pitchers this year, but in a matchup he’s historically killed, I love the odds. If you’re looking for another Angel to bet on, in addition to Neto, Logan O’Hoppe has astronomical numbers against Sears.
O’Hoppe is 3/9 against Sears in his career and he’s hit two HR in the process. Look for this Angels team to put up some runs today.
Bonus: Zach Neto Home Run (+330) | Logan O’Hoppe Home Run (+350)
Jacob Wilson o1.5 Total Bases (-110 via BetOnline)

Jacob Wilson has cleared this line in eight of of his last nine games, coming off an 0/4 night against the Angels in Game 1 of this series. They pulled him from the lineup yesterday, so we’re going right back today. Wilson has been so good for the Athletics this year, he leads the team in hits, sits top-4 in runs scored and RBI. He’s hit eight HR this year and he’s been just as good on the road.
Wilson’s hitting .331 on the road this year, with four of his eight HR coming away from Sutter Health Park. He’s hitting .359 against right-handed pitchers this year with seven of his eight HR coming against righties.
Hendricks has struggled against right-handed bats this year, allowing the opposition to hit .291 with seven of the 11 HR he’s allowed coming to righties this year.
Bonus: Jacob Wilson Home Run (+850)
