MLB Pitcher Report | July 10

Buehler, Walker
Let’s kick it off at Fenway Park, Walker Buehler’s back on the mound and up against Taj Bradley and the Rays. Buehler’s first year with the Red Sox has proven tough, he’s got a 6.25 ERA and allowing batters to hit .286 when facing him. His 1.9 HR/9 doesn’t help the situation and multiple Rays have already taken Buehler over the fence.
Moving to the Big Apple, Marcus Stroman is back for the Yankees and set to make his sixth start of the season. His 7.45 ERA leaves a lot to be desired and his four home runs allowed doesn’t really help. Stro’s allowing batters t hit .282 this year and giving up 1.9 HR/9.
At Yankee Stadium, it’s been even worse. His ERA creeps up to 7.84 and he’s giving up 2.7 HR/9, with three of the four home runs he’s given up coming at Yankee Stadium. Moving to the opposite coast, we’ve got Jack Kochanowicz on the mound for the Angels.
Kochanowicz’s 5.56 ERA has left him at the bottom of this Angels rotation. He’s struggled against lefties this year, allowing them to hit .299 with 13 home runs. This Rangers lineup is chalked full of big-time lefties and could prove tough for the second-year pitcher.
Wind Report – July 10 Weather Conditions
We’ve got a slate full of games with great conditions. Starting early in Baltimore, we’ve got slight 5.1 mph winds blowing out and towards left field today. In Anaheim, the temperatures are in the low 80s with 7.2 mph winds blowing directly towards the outfield.
In Cincinnati, we’ve got weather in the mid 80s, 6.3 mph winds blowing out toward left field and Cal Quantrill on the mound. Quantrill’s 5.57 ERA and opponent batting average of .288 should be an easy target for this Reds lineup.
Moving back to the West Coast, we’ve got the Padres and Diamondbacks facing off at Petco Park. With winds blowing out toward right field and two pitchers that give up a ton of home runs, we’d be remiss if we ignored it.
Lastly, Sutter Health Park once again saw a ton of home runs last night. Today’s winds are blowing at 13.4 mph directly out toward center field and temperatures are over 100 degrees once again.
Our Best MLB Pitcher vs. Batter Bets on the Diamond for Thursday, July 10
Corey Seager o1.5 Total Bases (-120 via BetOnline)

Cory Seager loves playing at Angel Stadium. In his career, he’s batting .319 here in Anaheim with five home runs and 15 RBI. If you strip that down to just his last 10 here, he’s hitting .341 with 14 hits, four home runs, seven RBI, and eight runs scored.
Seager’s season has been a little up and down, as he was fantastic in April but then missed a majority of May due to injury. After coming back in June, he was batting just .188 in 24 games and he didn’t look 100%. In seven games this month, Seager’s hitting .346 with six extra-base hits, four home runs, and 13 combined runs/RBI.
Seager’s recorded two or more hits in all three games so far this series, recording a home run in two of the three. Tonight he faces off with Jack Kochanowicz, a righty that struggles against big left-handed bats. He’s allowed 13 of his 15 home runs to left-handed bats and his 91.6 average exit velocity ranks near the bottom amongst all pitchers.
Bonus: Corey Seager Home Run (+280)
Brent Rooker o1.5 Total Bases (+125 via BetOnline)

Winds blowing at nearly 15 mph directly towards the outfield, in one of the smallest ballparks across the MLB and you’re giving me Brent Rooker at plus money? I’ll take that bet every single time.
Rooker’s hitting .284 at home this year, he’s got 19 home runs and he’s been one of the hottest hitters in all of baseball. Strider presents a tough matchup tonight, but this will be the first time he’s starting in this ballpark.
The Triple-A dimensions have proven tough for most pitchers this year, with Sutter Health Park seeing the fourth-most home runs of any ballpark this year. It’s the reason the Athletics rank 10th in home runs this year, but have won just 40% of their games.
Bonus: Brent Rooker Home Run (+375)
