Rockies vs Reds: Prediction & Best Bets (June 21)

Andrew Abbott starts for the Reds tonight in Colorado

The Colorado Rockies are in Ohio taking on the Cincinnati Reds who are on an absolute heater right now. They’ve won 10 in a row, both on the road and at home and lead the NL Central. We’ve got our prediction and best bet for this daytime matchup!

Rockies vs Reds Preview

Currently the hottest team in baseball, the Reds are a force to be reckoned with. Elly De La Cruz has lived up to the hype so far, and it’s only up from here.

This is the last game of the three game series between these two squads, but they have already finished a series earlier. The Rockies took 2 of 3 in Denver in mid-May, but now these teams are on a different level.

In that previous series, we saw two totals soar over, likely thanks to Coors Field, but we saw that in these past two games as well. So maybe these two teams just love hitting the ball against each other? Either way, we’re in for a treat.

Can the Reds keep the winning streak alive? Or will the cold air of Colorado cool down Cincinnatti?

Can the Reds Stay “Red-Hot”?

Short answer, yes. Longer answer, still probably yes.

If there’s a team to stop the Reds streak, I don’t see it being the Rockies. Colorado is 5th in the NL West, they rank last in hits allowed, and rank second to last in runs allowed, team ERA and team WHIP.

The pitching is not there, and right now these Reds bats are ready for whatever. They’ve put up at least 4 runs in all but one of their 10 wins on this streak, and they are seeing the ball well.

I think the Reds get it done again today, but obviously the ML is incredibly juiced.

I’m targeting a parlay on the side and total here, because I do think we see plenty of offense in this one.

Here’s what I’m playing.

Reds ML/Over 8.5 (+145)

Player Props

Spencer Steer over 1.5 Total Bases (+150)

Prediction Best Bets Rockies Reds June 21

Let me just spell you out the numbers for Steer.

He gets a hit in 68% of games this year, and 71% of games at home. He has hits in 7 of his L10 whether it be overall or at home, and he already bats .278 this year.

Now, as far as the total bases go, he’s only cleared 1.5 in 1 of his L10 games.

However, in 3 plate appearances against Seabold, Steer is batting .667 with a single and a double.

We’re betting on him getting a double, or two singles, today for great plus money.
