The Texas Rangers may be one of the biggest disappointments of the 2025 MLB season, per this writer’s futures on the team. However, one glimmer of hope has been young stud Wyatt Langford, who I always enjoy betting on. Today, I am backing the over on his total bases, priced at +120.

Langford faces Trevor Rogers, the second-worst rated pitcher on the day. The lefty has a poorly rated matchup wOBA, ISO, hard contact, and strikeout percentage. He is allowing 41% hard contact to opposing hitters. Despite making only two starts this season, he holds a 3.12 ERA and 1.15 WHIP.

Last season at home, across 12 starts, Rogers posted a 5.15 ERA and allowed a .291 opponent batting average. Right-handed hitters slugged .459 with a .277 average and .803 OPS. Forty-two percent of Rogers’ pitch mix grades below league average and has not rated above average since 2023. Langford punishes the other 58%.

Langford vs. Struggling Leftie

Rogers throws 45% fastballs, against which Langford is batting .235 with a +2 run value, a .494 slugging percentage, and a .367 wOBA. He mixes in sinkers 13% of the time, and Langford is hitting .302 with a .476 slugging and .384 wOBA against that pitch.

In 14 career elite-rated matchups, Langford has recorded a hit 78% of the time, cleared this bases prop 50% of the time, and hit a home run in 28% of them. There is plenty of value in the +120 price tag.

On the road this season, Wyatt Langford owns a .254 batting average, .459 slugging percentage, and .800 OPS. He also holds a .438 slugging percentage and .796 OPS against left-handed pitching. This looks like a strong bounce-back spot for the 23-year-old after going hitless on Sunday.
