This beautiful Tuesday brings us another full MLB slate. Here are my favorite plays, players, and parlays for the day. Yesterday should have been much better, but the Blue Jays went hitless, and Nick Gordon did not leave the yard. However, he did record a hit for us.
Today is a new day. The perfect day to get right. Here is the stank.

Yesterday could have gone a little better, but at least we cashed the Bohm & Gordon hit parlay (+125). However, sadly we went down -0.25 units. However, today is a new day. The season is seven months long we will come out on top in the end.
So far this season I am down -3.6 units betting on baseball.

The Stank:
I am obsessed with Yordan Alvarez today; his matchup rating is fifth best on Batters-Box.com.
He is facing Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios, whom he has not had the most success against, but that does not matter because he eats Berrios’ repertoire for every meal. Berrios is 30% sinkers, 30% sliders, and 22% fastballs, all of which Alvarez had a ton of success against last season.
Adding to the equation, Berrios’s pitches were all subpar in 2023. If he manages to connect with one, he’s likely to secure two bases.

The Stank:
The king of Kansas City—no, not Patrick Mahomes, the original king—is Salvador Perez. The Royals stud catcher comes into today’s game with an elite rating on Batter-Box.com as he faces Orioles starter Cole Irvin.
Irvin’s pitches are nothing to brag about. Out of his main pitches, his fastball is the only pitch above league average a season ago. He primarily throws a fastball, sinker, and changeup, all pitches that Perez mashed a season ago. Not to mention that Perez also destroyed cutters, which Irvin does throw (16.2%).

I love the odds for a guy like Perez, who has already started the season on a high note, hitting .250 with two home runs and six runs batted in. Hopefully, he can take our wallet to the moon.

Two of my favorite hitters today each to get a hit at plus money is a beautiful sight to see.
Brandon Nimmo and Mike Trout come in today with elite ratings on Batters-Box.com.
Nimmo loves every single one of Casey Mize’s pitches. Mize is 50% fastballs, 25% sliders, 23% curves and splitters. Against all of these pitches, he doesn’t have a batting average below .261. His OPS is above league average against all of these pitches as well. Today is an excellent spot for Nimmo to get a hit at least today.

Mike Trout takes on Jesus Luzardo, another pitcher who mostly throws fastballs. He also pitches 30% sliders and 20% changeups. This season alone, Trout is hitting .667 against sliders. Last season, he had a lot of success against those pitches.
