NL Rookie of the Year: The NL Rookie of the Year race continues to shift, and a new name has emerged as the favorite. But while the top of the board lacks value, one longshot has quietly put together an impressive case. Here is where I am looking before the market adjusts again.

NL Rookie of the Year Award Picks
The NL Rookie of the Year race has been wide open all season, but over the past week, a new name has taken over the top spot—Brewers starter Jacob Misiorowski. He has been unbelievable out of the gate to begin his career. Through two starts, he owns a 1.64 ERA, 0.55 WHIP, and 11 strikeouts. He has allowed just one hit in 11 innings pitched. That one hit was a two-run home run against the Twins on Friday. However, with his odds now sitting at +150, there is no value in backing him at the moment.
A more intriguing longshot that I bet last week is Dodgers second baseman Hyeseong Kim. If you have not seen him play yet, he has been an absolute joy to watch. Kim typically bats in the ninth spot, which is ideal, because after him comes Shohei Ohtani. Pitchers are forced to pitch to Kim—you are not going to walk him just to face Ohtani with runners on.
The 26-year-old has been incredibly consistent when he is in the lineup. Through 34 games, he owns a .372 average, .410 on-base percentage, and .948 OPS. The biggest hurdle is playing time—this is the Los Angeles Dodgers we are talking about. It is the toughest lineup in baseball to crack on a regular basis. Still, the season is young, and I am banking on him earning a full-time role because of how valuable that ninth spot has become.
I grabbed this prop at 20/1 and would suggest hunting for the best number available. I would not play it any lower than 14/1.
