It’s Monday again, just two football games so we turn to the diamond for a few winners. We’ve got 10 games in the MLB today, and plenty of great matchups.
With the playoffs looming, every game counts that much more. Lots of teams still fighting it out for a spot to play in October.
Let’s dive into our favorite bets for today.
Sept 18/23 – Best Bets
Julio Rodríguez o1.5 Total Bases (-105) via Bovada

Mr. Automatic. That’s who he’s been for this Mariner’s team this season.
Rodríguez is batting 0.286 in his L5 games, while batting 0.400 vs the A’s this season.
In seven matchups with with the A’s this season, he’s recorded 7 singles, 4 doubles, and a home run; but not a single one of his hits have come in Oakland.
Across two games this season in Oakland, he’s 0/8 with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks. He’s so due.
Julio’s also batting 0.289 on the road and an insane 0.389 over his L30 games. He’s a career 0.273 vs Sears with 3 hits on 11 ABs.
JP Sears has a 4.76 ERA at home this season and it’s jumped to 5.33 over his L5 games, with 5 HRs allowed. He’s giving up 1.77 HR/9 and 8.51 hits/9.
With the Mariners currently sitting outside a Wild Card spot, look for Rodríguez to respond.

In his L5 games he’s batting 0.353 with 2 HRs, 4 runs scored, and 7 RBIs. He’s batting 0.378 on the road and 0.306 vs righties. The weather looks great in Cincinnati and this is Lewis’ first game at Great America Ballpark.
His opponent, Connor Phillips, is making his 3rd career start. He currently has a career ERA of 8.31 and he’s given up 3 HRs in 8 IP. He’s giving up an average of 3.12 HRs/9 and 10.38 hits/9 in his first two career starts.
All three home runs he gave up were to right handed batters, who have also posted a 0.316 BA against Connor (19 ABs).
Oh he’s also the only Minnesota Twin with Grand Slams in back to back games; recording 3 in the span of eight games.
