Today, a team scattered all over the Batters-Box.com matchup rating is the Minnesota Twins. In the current season and default ratings, five hitters have an elite matchup rating. Those hitters will face Seattle Mariners starter Luis Castillo, who is posting an ERA of 3.46 and a WHIP of 1.18. The right-handed veteran has had ups and downs this season, but he has been giving up a considerable amount of base hits. In seven starts this season, he is allowing 5.8 hits per start. He has done well with keeping those hitters from scoring, only allowing a little over two runs per start.

However, the Minnesota Twins are not a team to be underestimated. They have demonstrated their scoring prowess, ranking 11th in the league with an average of 4.64 runs per game this season. Moreover, many of the Twins have a history of success against Castillo, which should give them an edge in getting on base.
Among the Twins, one player stands out-Trevor Larnach. The outfielder has been a standout performer in the first few months of the season, boasting an impressive batting average of .381 and an OPS of 1.009. Today, he is not only ranked 12th in the default rating but also holds the top spot in the current season rating on Batters-Box.com. Larnach has been destroying all of Castillo’s pitches.
Today should be a great time to buy in on the Twin’s runs and for Larnach to at least get a hit.

One of, if not the hottest hitters in baseball this past weekend, Brent Rooker, has one of the best ratings matchups today. The Athletics outfielder has been playing out of his mind, hitting .438 with seven hits, three home runs, and an OPS of 1.613 in his last five games.
Today, Rooker takes on Rangers starter Andrew Heaney, who has been putrid all season long. The heavy fastball pitcher has posted a 5.10 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP in his first six starts of the season.

Rooker and Heaney have only faced each other four times, but that does not mean anything. According to Batters-box.com, Rooker has the fifth-best matchup rating today. Heaney allows a lot of hard contact, so it should be an excellent spot for Rooker to at least get a base hit.
It’s a small sample size, but Rooker’s trends are mouthwatering. When having an elite rating(11 Ratings), Rooker goes over this prop 72.73% of the time. He records a home run 45.45% of the time, so yes, I have sprinkled on the home run. Regardless of the small sample size, Rooker has been on fire. He crushes all of Heaney’s pitches, and the data points to him and the Athletics having a relatively successful day.
