This matchup could be either the mispricing of the century or a potential trap. There’s no middle ground.
The Braves are set to face off against San Francisco Giants starter Kyle Harrison, who currently holds the worst pitcher rating on Batters-Box.com and ranks second worst for the season. Harrison is already at a disadvantage. Compounding the issue, the Braves boast five elite-rated hitters in both current and default ratings. Atlanta’s average hitter matchup rating is categorized as elite.
The 23-year-old left-hander has struggled this season, allowing opponents to exceed his ERA in 13 of his 20 starts. Harrison has a 4.08 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP. In his last two outings, he has surrendered 11 hits and eight runs over 8.1 innings.
Atlanta averages 2.33 runs in the first five innings, though this drops to exactly 2.00 runs on the road. However, in their last three games, they are averaging three runs in the first five innings. Over their past five games, they are hitting .279 with an OPS of .897.
After a 1-0 win yesterday, the Braves’ bats should rebound and produce early.

I’m running back this play after the White Sox’s big win against the Yankees last night.
Tonight, I believe the Yankees’ bats will come alive against Jonathan Cannon. The Yankees have four elite-rated hitters this season: Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Ben Rice, and Giancarlo Stanton.
Cannon is currently posting a 3.91 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP. He’s been solid in his last three games, allowing only four runs in 19 innings. However, it’s time for him to face a powerful lineup and come back down to earth.
