Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers: MLB Picks & Predictions

Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers have lost four straight
Milwaukee lit up Yoshinobu Yamamoto last night. He didn’t even last a full inning as the Brewers scored five runs in the bottom of the first. They added another two in the fifth and two more in the seventh to bring their total up to nine, winning 9-1.
Freddy Peralta pitched six shutout innings, striking out seven on his way to a fifth-straight win.
The Dodgers lead is now just six games on the San Francisco Giants after they beat the Philadelphia Phillies, and it is about time Los Angeles figures something out and turns things around. They lost four straight earlier this year, getting swept by the Angels and then beat by the Diamondbacks, but haven’t lost five-straight games since May 2024.

Misiorowski vs. Kershaw: Battle of the Generations
Last night we had Yamamoto and Peralta, tonight we get Clayton Kershaw and Jacob Misiorowski.
Kershaw is in season No. 18, all with the Dodgers. This season, he hasn’t lost a game, and LA has won the last six times he’s started on the mound. Overall, he’s pitched better on the road this year, with his ERA dropping to 1.50 and his WHIP down to 1.00.
The other guy is an up-and-coming flamethrower. Misiorowski, a 23-year-old native of the Kansas City Metro area, is coming off his first career loss in the big leagues after winning his first three starts. In two games at home, Misiorowski has pitched 10 shutout innings, giving up just two hits and six walks, while striking out 13 batters.
But today, he faces a dangerous Dodgers team that desperately needs a win.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers Best Bets

Jacob Misiorowski is back at home tonight
Dodgers vs. Brewers MLB Prediction: Brewers Win, Over 8.5
Best Bet: Brewers F5 ML (-103) BetOnline
Let me be clear, this is not a spite bet because the Dodgers lost for us last night. I just think Misiorowski brings it tonight.
We’re getting the best price at BetOnline by 7-12 cents compared to the rest of the market, and the kid is coming off getting shelled. He just got rocked by the Mets in what was his “Welcome to the Big Leagues” moment after a fairytale start through three games.
Now he’s ready to go.
All four of his pitches are above league average so far this season, and everyone is talking about his fastball, and rightfully so. He averages over 99 MPH on his four-seam. However, his off-speed stuff is really what tears hitters apart, especially if they are expecting potential triple digits 55% of the time.
Let him tear up the slumping Dodgers for the first few innings. As for Milwaukee’s bats, their team average increases to .253 against left-handed pitchers, and Kershaw hasn’t necessarily seen the toughest opponent’s this season.

Clayton Kershaw does not have a loss this season
Kershaw Teams Faced This Season vs. LHP (MLB Rank)
- Washington Nationals: .249 (10)
- New York Mets: .236 (18)
- Chicago White Sox: .234 (19)
- St. Louis Cardinals: .233 (20)
- Colorado Rockies: .226 (22)
- Cleveland Guardians: .219 (26)
- Los Angeles Angels: .216 (29)
- San Francisco Giants: .214 (30)
Other than the game against the Nationals (where he gave up two runs on five hits including two solo shots), Kershaw has only seen teams who are scrubs against LHP. The Brewers rank No. 8 in MLB, hitting .253 against lefties, a six-point increase from their season average.
