Will Ohtani Finally Go Yard?
Everyone is waiting on this dude to hit his first homerun in a Dodger uniform. Everyone.
But alas, I do not think tonight is the night.
At this point, Ohtani’s gotta be in his own head. With all the off the diamond issues on his mind, how can you expect the guy with the biggest MLB expectations on his shoulders to be focused?
The man’s got a lot going on.
With Glasnow on the bump, a strikeout pitcher, against a team that ranked 9th in K% against RHP last season, I think he could deal. He’s only hit 5 Ks in a game this season, but now is the prime opponent for a pitcher of this caliber.
Glasnow ranked in the 93rd percentile in K/Inning, 97th percentile in Swinging Strike Rate, and 95th percentile in Called Strike Plus Whiff Rate, the man clearly has the stuff. With his line being Over 7.5 Ks for (-114), I’ve elected to take him down a notch and put him in a Same Game Parlay.

Look, this is a really simple parlay. Glasnow is gonna shutdown a team that swings at everything, and ultimately the Dodgers will get the job done at home before they take off on two series roadtrip.
If I need to sell you on Mookie and Teoscar, here goes nothing.
Mookie has a hit in 7/8 games this season, multiple hits in 5 of those 8, and is coming off a 2 hit game in each contest against San Francisco this series. While he is 0/4 against Harrison, he’s too hot to fade right now.
Betts also has a hit in 25/34 (74%) of games against SF since 2022. He has multiple hits in 10 of those games, and has hits against the Giants in 78% of his games against them at Dodger Stadium.
Teoscar hasn’t seen Harrison, but he bats .289 lifetime off of LHP, and he’s got hits in 5/8 games this year. In 2023, despite facing left handed pitchers in just 22% of plate appearances, Hernandez hit 38% of his doubles and 27% of his HR off of lefties.
This translates to hard hit balls and great contact, so I’ll certainly bet on that tonight.
